Meaning all the hundreds, maybe thousands of "minor losses" are lost, and if so, in which pocket do they end up?

You go to the casino, play a winner, casino says: "Sorry, we made a mistake, your bet got lost, but since you betted small, we won´t reimburse you anyway".

If you are interested to prove your point with actual evidences, you can launch a lawsuit and have it your way. Or, you could prop your own brokering shop and serve the retails. Nevertheless, if credits were reimbursed to allow traders to continually trade, that to me is a fine gesture. You may think that Oanda may not reimburse but it's worth to at the very least, try. If you experienced losses due to Oanda's technical outage, go fill the form and make it known to them so they could help you. But if there weren't any to begin with, remember, defamation trial is something that you shouldn't be toying against.

Personally can't say that I had any outages on that day.

People really should be taking advantage of the adroid/iphone app.

I've NEVER had any issues logging in on my android device. I use it very minimally but it's indispensable in these types of situations.

With resource like that you really can't blame Oanda.

Yeah it sucks to legitimately lose on a tech difficulty, but be professional and go through the proper channels to see if you can indeed get reimbursed.

Agree. As long as proper channel were given access to, I believe issues of all kinds can come to agreeable terms. My advice to traders/investors: Use your voice wisely. If you had something to say and it's of real experiences, put it out so others could do the same. Empowerment are not to be abused.

Howdy lads and ladies, anyone else has a problem with refreshing myfxbook with oanda? Is it API from oanda does not work properly or is it fxbook's problem? Please report back if you have the same issue, I've noticed that removing/adding acc to portfolio fixes the issue temporarly... Thanks in advance!

How is Oanda in spreads compared to Ingot ?
My trading hours are in Sydney/Tokyo, and Ingot brokers gave me spreads of upto 10pips in GBPUSD in those hours !!

SO basically, my trades of SL of 10pips get closed really fast!

My OANDA is down too -- again. Seems like every other day these days.

You can contact customer service, and (after waiting on hold for an hour), they will restore your ability to log in.

IoS app down

Oanda seems to be down with an incorrectly dated maintenance message:

Planned Maintenance

Planned maintenance is scheduled for June 3rd.

Consequently, specific core OANDA functionality will not be available from 20:00 EDT to 23:30 EDT.

Once the work has been completed, all restrictions will be lifted.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

OANDA engineering.


There is something very fishy going on and I'm scared for my money.

I been onto there support since this started. Such a cluster *uck as I have trades open and cant do anything.

Just here to vent my frustration, the same problems are surfacing again, kicked out of login, account locked, chatbot couldnt help, reset password didnt work, all in the middle of active trading session. Been with Oanda for more than 10 years and have always looked past these glitches but the last few months its been downright disappointing, FFS....

I don't think it's a coincidence that OANDA's servers "have issues" every time we are at market extremes.

Personally, I think OANDA purposefully shuts down access to its servers so its customers won't be able to trade at critical times. Your inability to close a trade, or to adjust size for margin could easily result in profit for OANDA -- especially at times like these.

The web platform is working again, as is the API! I haven't tested the other options.
