DislikedIs there something like a list off all News.
Does specific news appear on certain days of the month and specific times, like the NFP that happens every first Friday of the month?
Plus what is the average impact of news on certain markets
If there is such a list where could I obtain it, or should I build my own form observationIgnored
DislikedThis will be a MAJOR mistake. Dukascopy is the best broker for trading AROUND the news not during.
The platform freezes and hard to close trades. I tested it for a full two weeks at news and it is scary!Ignored

Anybody have some experience trading news using futures ?

DislikedYeah, forget BP on the news. It's only $6.25 a tick on the futures. Euro FX is better @ $12.50 a tick. Even better check out the Eurodollar contract @ $25 a tick, but its moves are much smaller than currency futures.Ignored
DislikedI hope you understand what the eurodollar contract is. IT has nothing to do with fxIgnored
DislikedYeah, I understand that (have series3 ).
Choice between euro fx contract and gp contract is not so easy. You right it's 12.5 $ per pips but volatility is lower so maybe 2 gp contracts plays better? I don't know now. little bigger is margin (1 contract) but commision is lower (than 2 bp contracts), I trade mainly GBP so better know GBP behaviour. There are some pro and contra.

DislikedEurofx is really the only one with enough liquidity to be worthwhile looking at but when eur$ via cnx and aa decent pb is usually choice to 1 pip spread with at least 10m at the top of the book, there really is no doubt in my mind as to which I'd use. Futures may be seen as more of a fair market but what happens when you want ot close out a position and there's just not enough liquidity?Ignored
