TAKE IT EASY!
TAKE A DEEP BREATH!
CALM DOWN!
First, I don't want to insult you personally as a trader. I am here to discuss things with a open mind.
But I have a question: how can anyone trade forex profitable for some time, lets say a year. Because in the short term you may end up with a few pips on every trade but in my opinion that is still gambling. If you roll the dice a few times there is a change that it hits the number 2 a few times in a row. But the man throwing that dice didn't do anything to it. It was just the luck of the toss.
So what I am saying is this; something like 95% of the traders fail. What if the 5% who are doing well in the forex market are just having luck. Everyone in the forex market is rolling the dice and some people have a few times in a row the same number.
Every movement on these short term timeframes like the 1m, 5m and 15m charts are so hard to predict. There are to many factors to determain where the price is going. For example; news, oil, stock markets, governments, central banks intervention, employment numbers and ofcourse banks and hedge funds creating there own price actions. If you made a plan where the price is going, all these things are impossible to calculate into your trading plan.
The only way I see how trading forex could be profitable is to get in on the long term trends and just follow it.
Now, lets open the discussion!
Maarten
By the way; please don't come in here saying: I trade for three months now and 8 of my 10 trades are in the green. Because that doesn't mean anything. A friend of mine always wins something in the lottery, while I am a member for 10 years and have never won anything bigger then 10 euro's. So what does that mean? Its just luck. Some people have it, and some don't.
Be friendly guys!
