Hi Guys, Been wondering if anyone has any ideas for a system that is able to generate trades with good amount of volume but not taking any directional risk in the fx market.

just good enough to cover commissions and spreads. a bit of Alpha wouldnt hurt either.

Hey FxTyrant!!

Long time no see!!

What do you mean exactly by Market Neutral Systems?? It would seem logical that a country could get along with another and work together without the entire global economy imploding!!

Basically, find pairs that are ranging and trade within the range? But no point really increasing trading volume just to rake up volume so that your broker earns commission/spreads...pretty shady broker you have there, considering you claim to be a well-established money manager.

Having said that, good job on the AnthonyWins saga.
I will tear the world apart for you.

The broker isnt shady. just asked if i would have a strategy that is capable of trading larger volumes.
where For myself, i already have a system that doesnt require high volume to consistently make 6-8% return a month, the broker has other institutions looking for a good trader who can trade larger lot size with minimal market risk.

the Antony wins saga is typical, see that many times when i was working a sales for one of the more reputable prime of prime fx brokers. very often they would love to come asking for liquidity feed, but dont want to pay for it... add to it asking anything more than 1:50 leverage is already a red flag on its own because it means somewhere somehow your trades are definitely being "managed" by a b-book risk manager....

They would also ask if we would have cryptos, another red flag because how would a A-Book institution hedge against retail demand for crypto?? when theres little to no custodian for crypto currencies, and only thing close to a counterparty guarantee (which there is risk of couterparty collapse like Lehman episode), where you could trade Bitcoin Futures to hedge....

Not everyone is as intelligent...

Typically in this forex world, there are two kinds of massive idiots-those who believe they know what they are doing when they don't and those who don't even have the eyes to see through charlatans' obvious scams.

We are digressing....

only idea i have for a strategy that doesnt take market risk but can trade larger volumes would be a Triangular Arbitrage, but i doubt brokers or LP (liquidity providers would like that....

unless the broker is feeding directly from ECN's where price of say EURUSD is from one LP and price of GBPUSD is from another and EURGBP being from a third one etc etc.....
