TCDs seem to be inspired or related to Vortex indicator. You can google it and see the similarities.

Very interesting. I've never seen or heard of the Vortex indicator until now. Yes, the base calculations are identical. I will do more research into this indicators and its uses.
I do use weekly and monthly data and I trade interday. The action of the TCDs on the intraday give too many whipsaws for it to be a viable long term strategy. I built a scalp system once on TCDs and the best I could was break even long term.
