Good evening fellow FF members. I am reaching out to hopefully get a resolution to something I am sure many others deal or have dealt with. I just recently changed the pricing on my account within the last week. Not thinking, I failed to realize this would put me on a different server. The problem with this is that I now have no historical data. But I am sure that my data was already corrupt on the previous account due to using the history center to download the data. I do not want to do that again. I am currently in contact with Oanda and hopefully will get some answers this coming week. I wanted to start this thread to see if anyone has had success in using the API to get historical data. I am not a programmer, so I can only plug and play. I have tried, without success. I have downloaded python and all required programs and necessities needed to do the job, but every souce code I have tried has errors. Is there anyone that has a working copy? Maybe post a way for us uneducated enough to program to help fix this when it arrises? Can 1 minute data be collected in this manner? I am willing to pay for a resolution. Just know that I fully plan to post the resolution here for others, as I feel others shouldn't have to pay for what they should already have access to. Thank you all!
Side note: When I used the download feature from the MT4 historical center, it provided a huge gap, approximately 300 pips, and was missing a few months. This was affecting my indicators. And before we start going down a different path, I am not looking for posts related to naked trading. Trading without indicators still needs the data that I do not have to get the proper support and resistance areas.
