I mean, using a bigger TF than the one you're currently trading on is just removing some information. I don't think it brings anything to the table.
instead of using higher TF, use bigger periods.
if you use an MA and your entries are on H1 and you use trend on H4, then multiply your MA period by 4 and use that on H1, you'll always be ahead, compared to H4, because you have more data, and the 'turns' will show faster.
that's my thinking about MTF, never understood the need of it.
