I am wondering what's the difference between sending a stop order than comparing with the current price and sending a market order in EA. Will the latter get less chance to be filled? Does anyone here know the answer?
Thanks!

Quoting truccoDislikedI think that if you send a stop/limit order, or you send a direct order it makes no difference, as the price is the same into your EA
Sorry, I modify the message, caue Im not sure if you are talking about volatility moments ?Ignored
Quoting GP2XDislikedThanks for your reply.
What I mean is, for example, if the current price is 1, and I want to long when it reaches 1.1, to trade manually, I will enter a buy stop order.
To code in EA, I can either use buy stop order, or just wait for the current price to reach 1.1 then send a buy market order. The difference is whether the wait and compare process happens on my PC or the broker's trading server.Ignored
Quoting BurgerKingDislikedI never heard or anyone getting slipped with a market Order, but we've heard a lot of people getting slippage with Entry Orders.
Recent events dictate that Entry Orders are far more dangeours than Market Orders!
Seeing that you are using EA to do the trade, let the EA worry about the wait and let it do Market Orders instead. Besides, sometimes, you wont be abel to do Entryorders if your price is too near the current price.Ignored
