Dear Forex Factory Forum
First of all i'd like to thank you all for this great and usefull forum...

i was wondering if there is an application to do this:

me and 4 of my friends work togerther in forex, and we had like a portfolio... we put amount of money from each one in one account... and we decided that everyone can trade as he wants but the profite or loss for each position he takes is to be added or substracted from his balance.... so... is there any application that enable us of managing our account as sub accounts and be linked via the DDE so we can know if this needs to deposit that made profit... i did loss bla bla bla ... etc... i mean an account manager....

i hope i could explain what exactly i want
and i hope you guys help me coz im a new member in here and this is my first msg....

It is my understanding, that the DDe from Metatrader is only a data feed for the currencies themselves. I do not believe any account info is transfered via DDE. There is a sample DDe spread sheet that comes with the install of the MT4 if you want to play with it...

well dear what i was thinking about is not to pass the account balance and informations from the meta trade to another application via DDE... i was looking for a software or an application to work as accounts manager... i mean i can create sub accounts and manually insert the trades into this software upon the trades i've done in meta trade... and it automatically calculated the profit and loss acourding to the up to time prices which recives via the DDE.... something like this.....

what i need is an account manager software or application........

You can use software packages like QuickBooks, PeachTree, or any type of financial accounting pacakage. The ones I have mentioned allows you to create subaccounts and all. Typically the price is around $200 USD for the software, I am also sure you can trial the software....

see how dose it calculate the profit and loss according to the market price for the opened positions and how dose it deal with closed positions...
