Caught the max of that earlier (down move) pullback from the spike, with entry sell orders at 144.00 and closed for over 150 pips (27 hrs later) at 142.369.
Fun to follow developing visual compression patterns (multiple ema’s 9 - 200) off of different time frame set-ups (1- 5 min - 1 hr) and watch and wait (and anticipate) their eventual gathering, energy formation, subsequent explosive release, and often extended move (magnitude according to the time frame) and conclude with an eventual ‘bubble pattern’ as the energy dissipates with a pause, die-off and pullback to build up and gather momentum once again as the pattern predictably repeats just like waves in the sea.
The recent 1 hr compression / release pattern showed a lengthy move (138.~~ - 144.~~) totaling ~600 pips from 11 Jan 14:00 to 25 Jan 25:00 from compression to the bubble and die-off. Then the pullback has yielded ~200 pips as the bubble has collapsed as compression reforms.
These visuals occur on all time frames with interactions from various market forces to prolong or protract their outcome and display.
Still watching for the potential on the 1 hr as another compression pattern develops.
A bubble is an economic cycle characterized by the rapid escalation of asset prices followed by a contraction. It is created by a surge in asset prices unwarranted by the fundamentals of the asset and driven by exuberant market behavior. When no more investors are willing to buy at the elevated price, a massive sell-off occurs, causing the bubble to deflate.
