Using the Exit-on-MA setting in symetry mode, makes the exit really nice: on a big peak or a dip.. excellent!
BUT when re-entering we should not immediately take a trade in de direction of the move, should we? After all, we are in symetry mode and therefore we expect a correction.
So, upon an exit, should we not consider the algorithm to check for exit-on-MA=true, closure-mode=false and when both conditions are met, to then back off on taking the trade in the direction of the move by an amount of pips equal to, say, 50% of the 20day avg true range??
So when avg 20 day range is 50pips and there was an exit on a peak, then immediately take a short (with start-lot) and then wait to take the new long until the market has dropped 25pips.
Reason for asking is that for those cycles that take very long to close, pretty much all of them have the start of the cycle on the last large peak or big dip.
