Disliked{quote} Why you make it that complicated? Just use open office and you are doing fine! What's the use of Google sh(i)[ee]t?Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi Jibala Thanks for your response ... I tried both for two reasons, 1) because the spreadsheet did work in Open Office so I assumed it may be a software compatibility issue just like the S'ware Guru add-ons do not work in G'Sheets or Open Office and 2) because having it working in Google Sheets makes it accessible from anywhere. Now that's explained, can you tell me why your spreadsheet is not working in Open Office given I have every thing setup as above post 1705? Your assistance is greatly appreciated ...Ignored
Disliked{quote} It can't be "my spreadsheet" because 1. I don't use and have never used OO 2. I don't have any problems with "my" trading system based on M$ Excel But if you explain a bit more what's exactly the problem we maybe can help to fix it. JibalaIgnored

Disliked{quote} The formula in the cells is wrong! The link to the DDE server is missing hence, no connection = no live data streaming = no data update. If you only would have read the thread, you easily could find the answer for your question yourself! JibalaIgnored
Disliked{quote} Hi Jibala With respect, I did read the thread several times and the link used is the exact same link (modified of course) to suit my connection, direct from the spreadsheet. From more investigations today it appears that G'Sheets does not support DDE or equivalent atm. And Office has a completely different setup as below: {image}Ignored

Disliked{quote} Some people have allergy against M$ products, me included! But sometimes there is no other way than to live with allergy. I'd like to run a Linux Distribution instead of this fu**ing bad coded M$ Windows. But since there is not even one trading platform available (beside the Java based trading platforms) I just keep on dreaming that one day it will come true! And please, nobody shall tell me something about "wine" or any other similar garbage! JibalaIgnored
