here's a chart to illustrate what i'm saying - previous move up. i got candles colored by the balance between ask and bid volume: green candles = buying, red candles = selling.
i think it's quite obvious, isn't it. tight buying on dips (see groups of green candles indicated by arrows), large selling while uptrending (see groups of red candles). that's what is really happening during a trend.
as for now, we see buying into an impulsive move down, but doesn't look like a "buy the dips" action... so this seems like a good candidate for a downtrend. i would sell into all rallies from now on ...
