xmess7, I have traded on demo accounts your EA on 3 different accounts. One is making trades, but mostly losses. The two other accounts are showing something wrong. Open Trade Time: 0-6:00 (16:00 GMT) I am using your set files. {image} {image}

When did you start trading?

August 20 was the last time I used this EA. I stopped cause I had two losses, over -6%. I am still running demo and until I see it improve I don't think I will go live .

So yea, we have to wait till the market conditions get better for this approach...

YES SIR!! We are back!!! Time to start trading this EA again .

Check out the demo! Its been making profit steadily and only 1 loss in the last 2 months!!

Stay tuned... I will be posting again... And of course I have an updated version too .. I'll give the details soon...

Enjoy!!

NOTE: yes I know the screenshot says start time is 1700 GMT. I been trading 1600GMT but with the EURO time chance I forgot to change it and it still make profit.
So this is an option I am thinking of taking into account....

Hi!

First of all congrats to this neat EA. Still in demo mode, but nice profit there...

Just one doubt: sometimes it seems that the EA does not start at 16:00 GMT. My MT4 was running since early morning, other EA worked. At point 16:00 GMT: nothing.

Later I reloaded the EA manually with a two hours time shift and *bingo*: it started to trade. Not very successful, but it started.
Do I always have to load the xm7_Londonclose manually close to 16:00 GMT for it to work properly?

Thanks in advance!

By the way: did anyone ever think of builing a very similar EA "London open"? With some modifications of the rules maybe could work as well...

Hi. I am going to be releasing a new version that addresses that and other minor things. For now I recommend u do a daily reload, that way the EA will have it's time variables in place. .

Good Luck

Thanks alot Jess! Again: great job!!!

Another remark/question: GhostBiker once wrote, that we should take out GBP from the list. This was the time of this year with intensive Brexit discussions.
Therefore I understand that the EA works better in a "calm" environment? Taking a look at the news every day we should take out pairs that probably will show a high volatility in the GMT evening?

Good luck for u2!

Nice. I grabbed 0.12% just a few minutes ago. The basket was 2 pairs and it had run over 4hrs.

So far up this week.

Hi GhostBiker!

Thanks for sharing this neat strategy with us. Just two questions, if you do not mind:
1. did you use the default settings?
2. did you use all currency pairs?

Maybe you could share your actual set-file with us? That would be really cool...

Happy trading @all!

(yes, I was reading the 110 pages of this thread, but maybe I missed something important...)

There are no secrets.
The xm7 EA follows the rules according to pg1.
It uses the rules that are placed for the trader and NOT the ones u see for an EA.

I believe ghost's EA works as a tool that you use to pull the trigger with when it detects that a pair has met requirements. I would not doubt that it can also take the trades automatically but I think ghost trades manually and uses some discretion or other approach.

In the case of the xm7 EA it will automatically scan all the pairs u list in the inputs and if they meet the requirements it will then proceed to open the pair with the corresponding pending order and stops etc etc.

At most the biggest difference is that the EA includes money management and allows u to treat the trades as a basket.

With that said stay tuned.... New version coming up
Peace
J
