Disliked{quote} I am just wondering what is the role of so many indicators in this system 1. TDI in 95% of cases crosses at the first heikin ashi candle https://www.tradingview.com/x/8RJQcbDn/ Literally every heikin ashi candle with a decent length will trigger a cross on TDI. So what exactly is the use of TDI if you use heikin ashi? They are literally saying the same thing 2. Stochastic and TDI will always show the same direction because both are momentum indicators https://www.tradingview.com/x/4D314SQZ/ There is...Ignored
2. Don't agree. It depends on what settings Stoch and TDI is set to. (See if you can get Stoch 34.3.3 to agree with TDI 13.2.7)
- Real time: Stoch will move with price as it goes up and down.
- Up date on bar close: On M15 Stoch will confirm TDI green after 15 min, H1 > one hour.
No, they don't calculate the same thing. Will not go into detail. Google for why.

Take note of how lagging indicators are (your words)
Quote: "More importantly, Lane believed that changes in momentum often preceded changes in price, in a way making the Stochastics oscillator a type of a leading indicator for price changes by measuring momentum. "

4. Can not answer for other members.
Never used 4EMA. (Typo? Did you mean't to type 5EMA?)
Member's have to answer in regards to all those indicators.

Use two indicators TDI + Stoch. See chart couple of posts back (above)
My answer is simple:
- Spend all most four years learning this method: TMS. Understand what TDI is showing and know when Stoch confirm TDI direction with post#647 and S/R level.
Main Reason: Because it works.
