Just got back. Stopped out -20.

Still need to learn some of the disapline others in here have in abundance, I make some good trades and then manage to screw it up!!

Oh well. To next week!

Deltaone, would you mind sharing your approach to trading the indeces? After all, this thread is for intraday tactics. :-) I've been watching your trading as you post it over a little while and can't seem to grasp how you find your entries. I've also tried looking through this thread to see if I can find something, but 1800 pages is a little time consuming...

My 2 cents:

1 cent: Why were you considering holding a short over the weekend in a bull market?

2 cent: If your trade was positive at any point why didn't you move your stop to break-even?

Suntrader - would never hold a long over the weekend in this political environment.. & IMO the dow is going to have a correction in the near term.

I went out, this was the problem & what I mean by disapline.

Quite frankly I shouldn't have opened the trade at all!

EddieL most certainly. Trading can be easy knowing when not to trade is the hard bit, I'll get there tho, been an expensive uni course!

Ok I get you but you did say ... if it closed below 13380. I thought that was within your plan?

Anyway the best of the best at times have problems with staying disciplined. Just that it is rare for them. Keep plugging away though.

Yes it was in my plan but it didn't happen so it got stopped out. I would hold a short over the weekend provided there was enough room to BE as the chances of it rising, over the weekend 34+ ticks, in the current environment is very unlikely. But the opposite, not so. IMO.

One of the trades I made earlier in the day was up there with the best I've ever made, short at 23484 and tp @ 23450, dropped 4 pips, put SL at Evans and went out, came back to a 34 tick gain.

Its one of the most interesting and hard things about this skill, acting with zero emotion, up or down, still managing to make educated decisions not effected or swayed by the fact we are winning or losing at the time.. Science has proven our brain shuts down certain receptors if we live too far in love or fear, tho love it is easier as it is a more open emotion.. Perhaps why winners continue to win and chasing losses is so dangerous.

Possible all the same.

I have a lot of respect with people posting in here as they seem to have harnessed it.
