well, like all trend following trading systems, picking the direction is important.

but what is more important is to know the market type when we want to trade.

you need to know all the 10 things when trading.

most investors are traders, but not all traders are investors.

Trade like investors and you can generate cash flow when you know how to combine both the Insurance model and the Lotto model.

Back to this picture below when we want to trade with ME/ME.

It's Plan, Build and Run.... there are 3 phases to a winning trade.

Of course you can take a TDI trade when any H4 candle close period.

but before you take any TDI signal trade (setup), there are things you need to know, these are important:

1) make sure the setup is not in consolidation or near a consolidation zone/area.

2) make sure there is no support / resistance close by where the setup is.

3) make sure you know the market volatility at the hour of the setup.

4) know which market trend you are trading the setup.

EURGBP Week 28 Jul 11 D1 chart

we see a 3rd test of the swing highs of last month and the RN 0.8850.

but with narrowing of the price momentum seen with the VB of the TDI, means thing are going 'slow'.

any break higher sees potential targets ... 0.8893 and 8967, or keep it simple with targets the BRN 0.8900 and RN 0.8950

I am looking at NU and get in some. Do you think the down trend is going on? All W D H4 H1 TFs is selling. Can I hold these trades. I already moved SL to BE.

I see that as a major correction of the recent bull trend.
With last Week close Bearish Engulfing Bar BEEB, and Fiday' D1 Pin Bar at BRN .7300.
Yesterday' small inside bar was a good setup.

Selling this week is good and you won't face huge drawdown like many other rookie trader who sold 3~4 weeks ago and held on to their sell trades and now waiting for BE and then take few hundred pips of profits.

Look at all your trading pairs, see if you can spot those pairs with potential to trade with PLAN, BUILD and RUN in this week and coming weeks.

Could you elaborate/illustrate on how you use the previous month's High-Low to look for empty space, that could save me many, many bad decisions in the future
