They are expecting a negative GDP next week, have a look at AN. The numbers of the last 2 weeks are pointing to a possible negative GDP next week, coupled with NZD strength. This could be a possible reason for the sellof.

Fairly quickly, within the hour it should return to normal. But like Erebus said, watch out with big news, I saw this pair jump 50-60 pips within a few seconds. Especially this week you will have to watch out with the NZ interest rate decision.

Looking at the daily charts and up, it looks like a serious NZD selloff is gonna happen next week imho. If you look at AN on the weekly, engulfing candle, on the monthly the previous month a hammer. NU on the weekly down, even GN on the weekly a ...

I am with you on that one, a lot of positive US numbers lately, S&P all-time high. No reason for the FED anymore to wait much longer. possibly rates will go up in the US in the not so distant future and the UK possibly cut rates next month, big ...

Weekly candle looks bearish, monthly also. I would be looking for a sell around 1,317x or 1,322x. If the FED is hawkish next week coupled with a possible rate cut of the BOE next month, this could still fall a lot more imho. Next week end of the ...

Thanks for your view, I am looking at the daily and up, I am not expecting a big move down but looking at the daily and weekly looks good for 1,048x-1,052x, I agree with you to look for a buy around that area. But in my opinion a swing down of 150 ...

Australian dollar/ New Zealand dollar, weekly looks like a sell next week around 1,068x-1,07x. NU looks like a confirmation of this, on the daily NU looks ready for a correction imho. All yen pairs look ugly on the weekly, maybe a big downmove ...

Possible double bottom on the daily EU? Previous weekly candle looks also like an inverted hammer. Fundamentally I don't see a reason for dollar selloff though...

0,7607 could be enough for the drop, could possibly be the weekly high

On the higher timeframes, it sure looks like an upmove is coming on the weekly chart, watch out for the CPI data for New Zealand tonight. I am hoping for a retrace to the 1,053 area to try a buy.

Looks almost look the perfect sell setup, will be watching 0,7607 next week. If you look at the monthly, you have a double top. Quartely also looks down, talking about AU here. Weekly also an inverted hammer. So for me, all timeframes align now. All ...

Sisse, Maybe a stupid question but what is the reason that the Euro is holding these levels against the dollar and even gaining strength? Especially after the all the US data lately and the insecure outlook for the European economy. I have been ...

Thanks for the insight Ken.
- ceetee replied Jul 11, 2016
Thanks Ken, so once this temporary rally is over, you expect these 2 to fall hard? The New Zealand dollar rallied hard against the USD but looking at the higher timeframes it looks to be running into resistance. Also looking at the world economy and ...
