At today’s meeting the Governing Council of the ECB took the following monetary policy decisions: 1. The interest rate on the main refinancing operations of the Eurosystem will be decreased by 25 basis points to 0.25%, starting from the operation to be settled on 13 November 2013. 2. The interest rate on the marginal lending facility will be decreased by 25 basis points to 0.75%, with effect from 13 November 2013. 3. The interest rate on the deposit facility will remain unchanged at 0.00%. The President of the ECB will comment on the considerations underlying these decisions at a press conference starting at 2.30 ... (full story)

Doubt it. The USD GDP may see a larger sell off. Be careful until Draghi finishes speaking and the market settles.

Happy to be wrong about the rate cut - an easy 120 pips, and counting. Price is trying to settle at the 61.8 fib around 1.3377.

If the US GDP is strong, more to go.

If you look at the chart, some knew in advance ECB's gonna cut the rates. Lucky bastards. I mean the 31 of October particularly. They just kept dumping orders that day without any freaking reason.

Now I am confused about gbpusd. Eurousd recover is much better than gbpusd... But as far as I know there was no bad news for gbp this week or previous. So .....

Well yes and no, but the 'real' sell off started last week based on the rumours, certainly from a swing trading perspective all trend/swing traders should have already been short.
