    At today’s meeting the Governing Council of the ECB decided that the interest rate on the main refinancing operations and the interest rates on the marginal lending facility and the deposit facility will remain unchanged at 1.00%, 1.75% and 0.25% respectively. The President of the ECB will comment on the considerations underlying these decisions at a press conference starting at 2.30 p.m. CET today.

Euro Rally is a Dead Cat Bounce, there are no solid reasons for Euro Rally, only Printing The Money does not solve the EU problems, problems are both Political and Monetary.
Wait for few hours and see the Euro going South

Nobody knows, all can only assume. See news Posted Jun 7, 2012 4:29am (4 hr ago). I see no sense in this EURforia. Nothing much has changed. But the bulls will not give up so easily, some rally probably come.

I don't trade news or Eco releases. Actually the fact that I say retracement means that I'm looking at the chart n following trend. The trend right now is down and because I'm a disciplined trader I will never buy until that trend reverses. The small up trend right now is only temporary that's why I don't bother buying.

sorry, i don't trade news and i don't care about the story behind a big move. I analyze charts, and i knew this uptrend was coming that's why im not losing money right now. You call it "reaction of ECB president" I call it "retracement"

That is why trading the news is such a waste of time. Map the market correctly and trade the order flow not the news and eco releases. Those only confuse and distract you from what is really going on. Do I make sense.

The EURUSD tripped the next target at the 1.25409 (high from yesterday) after holding above the old trend line on the hourly chart. The price has also moved above the next target at 1.2554 which is the 50% of the move down from the May 21 high).

To keep the rally going, look for the next step progression:

1.2573 (high from May 29th),
1.2623 (KEY LEVEL. This equals low from January 2012 and high from May 28th) and
1.26667 (38.2 of the move down from May 1). Those are the steps right now.

They target 1.2650 in EUR/USD and 1.5355 in cable. It’s not an ideal time to buy right now with the euro at a session high but those looking to ride a hot hand might consider it on a pullback.
