    The Swiss National Bank is leaving the SNB policy rate unchanged at 1.75%. The significant tightening of monetary policy over recent quarters is countering remaining inflationary pressure. From today’s perspective, it cannot be ruled out that a further tightening of monetary policy may become necessary to ensure price stability over the medium term. The SNB will therefore monitor the development of inflation closely in the coming months. Okay So Let's welcome 158 for CHFJPY. It was already over over valued. This way it will be balanced but till 158 will be too high as well. Fair value should be around 134 to 134.50 against JPY.

maybe many traders believe that after parity with EUR is parity with GBP. So if GBP/CHF parity were to happen and CHF has to come down, then it will bring GBP down with it.. haha

The swiss don't have inflation problems, and they have the own currency to play with. While the rest of the world has high inflation and problems with their individual currencies. Keep trying to reach for the rainbow.

The Fed paused rate and there was strength in the dollar. SNB paused rate and the CHF is weak. Why?

All you need to understand is the market Expetations. CHF is now more weak because Jordan made so many hakiwish declaration in the past months and CHF was to the peak of all time with near all pther currency (except USD). The market then expeted +0.25 and maybe more other hike in the future. This is now completely destroyed by this morning meeting of SNB. And the GPD growth of Swizerland was revised down in the past week.

USD as totaly different story. The pause was largely expated and 1 more hike do not male such different. For this currency the market is focused on the growth and stability of financial system/bank sector. USD had only good news in this months and then surprise a lot, especially if you consider the SVB failure of March. Recession in USA seems disappering and the USD go up.

Then, my advice is do not focus on a single data or number but instead read the paper and declariation and go deep into any important news, to better understand the monetary policy and economy in the future
