EIA reports a weekly rise of 57 billion cubic feet in U.S. natural-gas supply

This week crude oil supplies were up and now gas.
Either there is more getting produced locally or demand for product is weakening.
Cad has had a bid for past few days most likely on higher Oil markets, whilst its economy continues to deteriorate.
Something is going to give as what is getting reported about how effective Saudis and Russia are at controlling Oil/energy, is not being borne out by supply reports.

Methinks markets don't move on fundamentals anymore. Someone, somewhere, is playing games.

There is the massive stimulus still coming out of Asia (PBOC and BOJ) against presumed tightening of FED and ECB with small part by BOE. That would contribute to all the chop.
Tipping point I believe will be BOJ as Japan must build its military and deal with a stagnant population growth metric. They will be unable to accomplish this with a decimated currency. Things are not all that bad in Japan and people like Buffet have been going into their equity markets. Japan is cheap at current levels. What all the math nerds are doing with markets seems to make for a bottoming in JPY. There is always that "But" part which keeps shredding underlying value, so I agree with you that at a face look real world does not matter.

Always seems however when a person turns their back on the ocean they are prone to getting smacked hard by an wave. Such it is with a fundamental assessment at these times.
Will be just playing position and watching position size. Only way I know to play the odds and rollercoaster. People who keep a very short term time frame do not appear to be doing very well judging by posted comments in other threads.


Based upon these thoughts Risk is going to swing the needle when BOJ starts to shore up JPY.


add: Just today went to fill my pickup. 100 bucks worth of diesel did not even top off my single tank and it was not on empty. That is with the supposedly strong USD I pay with. Countries that have let their currency slide have a population that would be unable to afford both food and fuel. So how this all translates at the global level into never ending Risk on defies all reality.

I don't get it Clocky, if you have plentiful, verifiable supplies, gas or oil, how do you push prices up?
