Hello, @RobinHood ! It doesnt allow me to DM you but, I am very interested in learning this method or system. My questions is has something changed during this period in post #1?

Have you considered running a poll which asks not "Do you think you could make money with these startergies" but instead "Have you made money with these strategies" ? my guess is the numbers will be entirely different, but it would be interesting to see none the less.

Hi Robin, what is the settings for the latest RSOR? I am trying to use Stochastic and RSI in tradingview to do the same.

Yes, but I look at it more as that it has "evolved" over the last 7+ years since Post #1 was created...and that's exactly what I wanted to happen and I said that in Post #1.

I use the exact same template on all time frames. Mostly, I typically watch 2 or 3 higher time frames than the time frame that I am trading, but I only use them just to give me a general idea of the overall market direction...when possible.

For example, if I am day trading a 3 min. chart, I usually also watch a 5 min., 15 min., and a 30 min. or hourly chart.

Yes, I looked into it a while back, and the best that I can tell, I can only have one poll running at a time. So I didn't change it because I am not willing to give up 7 years worth of votes just to do something such as what you suggested.

The RSO is comprised of:

Orange Line = 8, 3, 3, ema

Light Blue Line = 34, 10, 3, ema

AND, what turns it into the RSOR is by adding what I am showing below to the RSO:

Dark Blue Line = RSI(4) based on the 14 ema.

HOWEVER...

I play with the RSOR settings all of the time, for example, right out on one template that I am using, they are set to this:

Orange Line = 20, 3, 3, ema

Light Blue Line = 34, 10, 3, ema

Dark Line = RSI(4) based on the 16 ema

Many, many things have evolved since Post #1, however, what's in Post #1 is still as valid today as it was when I first made the post.

But...I think the best thing any serious trader can do here is read the whole thread, otherwise you could just start reading at about Page 400 if you want to skip ahead...but if you do that, you will start out with a disadvantage vs. reading the whole thread.

I also think that's a really interesting question.

I think it comes down to the people who are willing to practice a strategy extensively are learning more about how price behaves than they realize, are learning to identify trending markets, and are only using the indicators as a support structure. At it's core, from what I understand about how the evolution of this has gone, you're entering the market on pullbacks/consolidation in areas of value.

I posted once before with a similar sentiment, and I'll say it again, I'm not knocking the thread and everyone's contributions, because if it gets people to put in the chart time and make some money then that is wonderful. But I'll bet a lot of folks could identify similar market entries and exits with some MA channels and maybe a single oscillator if needed.

If it was as simple as following the signals, it would be automated by now, and I don't think that's been done successfully.

I guess what I'm saying is, the folks who are making money with this are incorporating quite a bit of discretion in their process, which is great, but may not be how some users interpret the system.

100% agreed. So far nobody can confirm a real non-repainting indicator that can predict market move.

With any strategy I'd at least like to see a decent back test, or much better maybe a 1+ year forward test, this thread has been running a long time, there should be some hard data available to substantiate the claims?
