Been reviewing this thread after some poor trading for the last several weeks...
Posts 177 & 195 pretty much sum up the keys for me to go from unprofitable to profitable trader.
How is it I allow these concepts to slip away from the forefront of my focus after being profitable for 4-5 months in a row?
I can make 15 lists of what to do, but the issue occurs somewhere during my trading sessions.
When I look back at a string of good trades, it makes me think - "Wow, trading is not hard at all if I just stick to the plan!"
But the negative ideas of: 1. not going/earning fast enough & 2. letting down others - have a way of outweighing the positive and influencing my decison making for the worse.
I journal each day, but sometimes I don't journal until I can truly say - I am completely clear. It turns into more of a task I must accomplish sometimes.
Getting as clear as possible is incremental to the rest of the day. I must fully embrace that.
Also, those really nice trading areas I mark off need to be more than a suggestion. The day after is often when I see the exact trade I wanted the night before occurring from my marked areas.
Even as I typed that last sentence, my brain said - yah, well price may not reach there. You will miss a trade.
I have to be ok with that scenario. The only alteration in this may occur if a new range forms prior to my area. But that will only come clear after waiting & following price action.
Anyways, just some thoughts and planning for the days & weeks ahead...
