I think its you that don't make any sense!!! what do you think traders used before all this electronic trading began, and they made money doing it!!! Do you reasearch before you jump to stupid conclusions!!!

It's not 1985 anymore. We do have electronic trading and there is no floor. I studied pivot points at length during my 22 years of trading and I found them to be useless. If you have testing that proves otherwise, I'd love to see it.

I'm not sure why you have to get personal but I appreciate the not-so-subtle reminder of why I visit FF less and less. I thought a 1KT discussion was above that.

Well, but a lot of the floor people went electronic, so old methods persist. Since you seem to be selective on what testing you would feel is conclusive, perhaps you could provide us with the specific metrics you'd like tested? Maybe someone will do so.

And yes, let's not get personal. Trading is a business, and methods that work for one person may not work for another. There's no need to get emotional.

How much accurate the monthly fibo pivots can be that even nfp news respects the levels.

Since overall daily is downtrend, i expect 1.5457 to provide a decision level.

Now added multi-year functionality, so you can view pivots over 1 to 12 years as long as your broker has data.

As expected EU has reached the decision level, also to be seen is that both Gold and Oil are now in oversold territory.

August 17, 2007 was the lowest value for AU in mid year, and thereafter it went for a jump, with pairs entering oversold territory, could we see something similar here too.

Well, we need to wait and watch, with EU touching the yearly support, I will prefer to be on the fence for sometime.

Hello forexlion...
I like this indicator so much!

I wonder if you can do a little alteration to this indi :

1. allows users to add multiple time frame pivots to the current chart.
ex : both daily + weekly pivots on h1 chart , where I get to choose the levels + colors with different labels to differentiate daily with weekly's pivots.

2. I have tried this indi for 1 week now, and I realized that I need to manually refresh the indi in order for it to work properly - the levels disappeared after a while.. I wonder if this can be fixed.

3. options for users to pick colors + size of font used + label's positions.

Thanks for your great contributions! =)

hahaha. I apologize, but you are wrong. Americantrini is right. What do you think the floor traders use when they went electronic? A new quantum chromodynamics? Reinvent the wheel at age 50? haha... You think someone is jerking around with the 1 minute chart at Goldman with 20 minilots? What do you think the basic math setup of the algos is based upon?

Of course, nothing is 100% but that is not the point. If a MPP/WPP (or at a confluence of the yearly, monthly weekly) is broken and retested in a fractal manner and the stochastic is overbought in a down market, what do you think the trade is? I would sell with a tight stop loss and take profit at the MS1 etc.

Best wishes!
