Notepad++ as editor

Highlighting of keyword:
-> Language - > Define own language - > (Load the file in attatchment)
Hope the names are right cause I have the german version!

Auto-complete:
Save the file as mql4.xml in the folder:
C:\Program Files\Notepad++\plugins\APIs

This doesn t work for me....anyone knows why?

thanks for providing the XML-Files for Notepad++, i was looking for an alternative to MetaEditor. It works for me so far as (you) expected, btw. i'm using with Linux (Fedora). Both Syntaxhighlightning and Autocomletion are working:

Sorry to answer a very old topic.
I was looking forward to using Notepad Plus Plus to edit codes.
Unfortunately, every time I tested, I did not get an answer
Most of the time I had to switch between MetaEditor and Notepad Plus Plus
Unfortunately, the meta editor is very weak in terms of searching and reprinting the text
And for many other reasons, I prefer to work on Notepad Plus Plus most of the time.
Today, after a long time, I found out how to do this.
I put it here, I hope it will help others.

you will need this code to copy in to overrideMap.xml

I add more functions from MQL4 help to the dark template and change color
copy file to .....AppData\Roaming\Notepad++\userDefineLangs
and change template to Obsidian
