Good Evening AKT.... This is my second post here
Took a successive USDCAD short with a healthy 1:5 R:R
Kindly correct me if I've done anything wrong in the trade.
I have a bad habit of taking trade using 2 T/F's. Is that alright AKT.

Hello fellow traders hope everyone is well I have posted a trade i took yesterday as a confirmation trade , 4 hr is the highest timeframe and entry is of 15 min . There is a tl break on the 4hr then price retreats to 4 hour zone in which the 15 min has a setup and TL break followed by pull down out of the 15 min zone then back into test the 15 min zone entry of bottom of 4 hr zone short.Any analysis on whether i was right or wrong kindly appreciate , i know AKT and winston2017 were looking at this from higher timeframe perspective.

there was a little bit of divergence on eur/usd around 7.30 gmt - bit it wasnt confirmed on higher time frame so it would not be valid

nothing doing at this time either on higher time frames

on 15m/30 charts bullish divergence drawn between 9.30pm and 6.30 am gmt today -- nice little pop up but this was all around eur/london open very tricky/risky - but it was spotted and confirmed on higher tf ---

not sure if theres pm on the site but if there is message me if you want to know any more about div -- dont want to post of topic

Hi! I've been following this thread for a little while now. I took this trade but got stopped out. My stop was around 38 pips which is bigger than I would like. I am trading the wkly, daily, 4hr.
Would appreciate any comments on how it could have been improved.

Hey, There is nothing wrong with that trade, that supply area is very good. I would say that your problem is that you if you trade on 4H chart a stop of 38 pips would have been too small. I would have gone on a smaller time frame and try to get an entry from there where a 38pip stop will be more appropriate.

after 1st retouch -- look for dem zone to be broke to confirm sellers now in control

Thank you for sharing your trade

If i may, it is not so much about whether one is wrong or right. It was just a different way of trading confirmation.
There was a more efficient entry possible in this case especially given the top down analysis you described very well (i saw the 4 hr zone you mentioned too but i was already in short from higher up)
So the way you entered was not invalid, just different. i wouldn't have entered that way but doesn't mean you can't.
I wouldn't have entered that way because i would have struggled to define where my stop would go and therefore would not have been able to optimize my position size.

If i may,
Daily trend is up
4hr trend is up
Momentum on both timeframes is up
Yes, you are hitting supply on the daily but the power of the trend and momentum often holds true
Waiting for some evidence may have been helpful in this case.
Remember, hindsight is always 20:20 vision, you probably took the best decision based on the information you had at the time.

Thank you AKT from the bottom of my heart for your kind remarks and I must admit I'm still coming to grips with entries and exits but I do see what you mean by taking from the top. I guess I need to be more proficient with entries and exits. Thanks for the picture I learn by seeing much better lol...
