Nice.

But, the blue component inside the bg color will hurt your eyes in the long run.

I also use custom color theme, but prefer dark/neutral bg with brighter text. It's more readable and puts less strain on the eyes.

As far as I can determine:

Color0 = editor background color
Color1 = basic program text: programmer's variable names etc
Color5 = MQL4 reserved words: string, int, datetime, if, break, true, return etc
Color6 = program comments: text after // or between /* and */
Color7 = numeric literals, e.g.: 123.45
Color8 = punctuation symbols: quotes, equal signs, semi-colons, brackets etc
Color9 = string literals (text between quotes: "hello world")
Color10 = MQL4 program constants: MODE_BID, PRICE_CLOSE, EMPTY_VALUE etc
Color11 = MQL4 reserved functions: MarketInfo, StringFind, ObjectDelete, GlobalVariableSet etc

The value is equal to: blue*256*256 + green*256 + red
e.g. to obtain the color yellow (RGB: FFFF00), blue=0, green=255, red=255, hence the value would be equal to 0*256*256 + 255*256 + 255 = 65535

I will update this post as I discover more.

Of course you can also change the colors using MetaEditor's menu: Tools -> Options -> Colors tab
which (apart from removing the need to edit the MetaEditor.ini file) leads to the conclusion that, in the MetaEditor.ini file:

[Colors]
Color0 = Text (background)
Color1 = Text (foreground)
Color2 = Text selection (background)
Color3 = Text selection (foreground)
Color4 = Selection margin (background)
Color5 = Keywords
Color6 = Comments
Color7 = Numbers
Color8 = Operators
Color9 = Strings
Color10 = Macros
Color11 = Functions and entry points
Color12 = Indicators
Color13 = Pre-defined types and variables
Color14 = Input variables
Color15 = Non-ASCII characters

I haven't checked all these, but it seems like a logical assumption.
The values are decimal (Blue*256*256+Green*256+Red), as I explained in my earlier post.
I couldn't find a webpage that displays colors as decimal values, so I downloaded sourceforge's color selector.

Zenburn is also gentle for your eyes ( i use this in Spyder when working with Python)

For some years now I have used a color scheme similar to the Monokai theme of Sublime Text.

This is the best dark theme I could come up with. it uses 4 main colors and 2 contrast variations (light/dim white and light/dim green) and the font Im using is apple's SF-Mono
