Forex is no different than any endeavor that requires control. For example, how to control your emotions while driving. How to control your emotions while building a house of cards. How to control your emotions during poker. How to control your emotions while wanting to eat something.

The overall Forex experience does not hold any special weight, and it does not help you to think it does. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy and a scapegoat for people to say Forex is so much different and more difficult and too special. Most people sweat when they get nervous. Can they control this? Can they control their nervousness? Most people have a fear of public speaking. They get nervous, then sweat. Asking how to control their emotions is like treating the symptom and not the root cause.

What makes people nervous, or over emotional in the given setting? Why do some people freak out while driving a car, while others are cool as a cucumber? Why do some people have ice in their veins when it comes to poker, and other fidget and give all kinds of tells? Why can't some people resist the cake?

This question, which is addressed by an entire field of study, is best answered by psychology.

The question, therefore, is not how to control emotions but what is causing the upset. Most people who get nervous in the market are new. When you've seen it and done it all it gets quite boring. Happiness from a win, and sadness from a loss, after a while, all get muddled in together. There is no shortcut to this experience. Wouldn't it be nice to just ask someone, "How can I not get nervous in front of a crowd?" then they give you the answer, "Just don't be nervous." Then you go, "Oh, ok! Got it!" Then the next time you have to speak in front of the group you are not nervous... Wouldn't that be nice?

The bottom line... experience is how to control your emotions... Have lots of experiences and learn from them... Then those hills and valleys on the emotional roller coaster get reduced significantly...

I don't know whether one can compare trading forex - and the anxieties related to it - to driving a car. When one is driving a car they're not anxious they'll lose the money they've invested in the car rather than profit from it. Or at least it's not really a rational fear to have.

The emotion should be controlled properly by the discipline we run in conducting trading, because the discipline would be able to be more focused and more what we run can benefit obtained easily

That was my point, I don't think the anxiety caused by driving a car and the anxiety caused by trading forex can be compared. They're very different. If you're driving a car, you might be feeling anxious that you'll be late or you'll get in an accident - and even those fears are pretty far-fetched most of the time, but you'll hardly be afraid of losing money because you're driving. On the other hand, if you're trading Forex you'll be anxious specifically about money, and it would not be a far-fetched fear. It's just two different things, in my opinion, and the approach to keeping calm in those two different situations would be different.

more should we control emotions well, because with emotion terkontol then there would be more likely to survive in running trading. for that we try to do in learning as in the demo or demo account contests to better understand the forex to run properly

Emotion that is what we must control well, because with uncontrollable emotions that will not be maximal in running the trading. For that try to do in learning as in a demo account or demo contest from instaforex to maximize the science of trading and more leverage in forex trading run it well

Being new to FX Trading, 7 months, I also have to learn new skills and build confidence. I have found that learning the ropes trading the end of day strategy is far less stressful. Allowing more time to prepare the trades and reduce the mistakes caused by inexperience and stress.
My PIP count is respectable and my win percentage is > 60%. There are fewer trades with this method, but the 50 to 100 pips per trade make the difference, When I started I was trading the 15 minute charts and loosing 50% of my trades, not good and very stressful.
I now occasionally trade the 4 hour charts, too early to give real stats, but with increasing knowledge & experience this strategy is showing potential.
In conclusion, learn to walk before trying to run. and never enter a trade before the candle closes.

There are lots of things that you could do to control your emotions, like you could listen to the music, or you could do Yoga, and lots more.

Emotions are what we must be well controlled in order to be able to walk forex with focus. And that will be good again try to always run good trading like in demo trading or demo contest in instaforex in stages for success in forex

I got your point, basically traders need to set their trading targets according to the market condition, if market offers 10 pips then we should set our TP for 10 pips only! Similarly, if market offers 100 pips then you have to set your trading target for 100 pips only! Besides, a good trading plan is very much handy in this case!

Emotions definetly cripple your thought process. I just recently loss 20k gbp. Although i wouldnt say it was my fault entirely. Just a really dodgy trading guidance from 'analyst' who have complete care of targets than client profits.

Trade with money you can afford to lose.

Meditate. It helps.

I have often seen people recommending meditation. I tried a few times, but I think one needs to be more dedicated than me for it to have an effect.
