I am considered myself still new to Forex and MetaTrader 4.
For the past few days, I have been trying out to create an EA for myself and backtesting using Strategy Tester. Everything (TP: 30 pips and SL: 20 pips was working well. However, I encountered the following issues today.
Few hours ago, my EA and MT4 went haywire.
1. When I was running Strategy Tester for test my EA, It still opens trade with the TP set above 30 pips above my opening price. However, SL was not set. I tried the previous EA that I tried few days ago and none of their SL was set.
2. Then I thought that it might work if I uninstall and reinstall the MT4. However, I encountered another problem in which no historical data was download. I went to historical centre and tried download the data. But it prompted me that there is no newer data.
Please advise me on the above issues.
