Not a good trading day, flat every where but CAD pairs and those mad a fast jump on CPI news, so i did not chase.

Surprising day, didn't think much would happen, Power meter wasn't that promising, but wound up with 5 good trades. I was patient today which is an aspect of trading
that can be a weakness for me.

Today is my first day with this system (M1, time bars)--quite a change from 4-hour charts! I started an hour earlier than you and picked all the wrong moves--not recognizing sufficient 1M consolation (both in length of time and amplitude), and now appreciating your comment that a lot of the good moves on short-term charts start at session openings.

M1 moves too quickly for me. Tomorrow I'll try M3 with standard cloud settings.

1. What the reason behind cadjpy and usdcad trades? is it aggresive entry? cad was strong and jpy was weak at that moment.. no divergence forming, why you take short ond cadjpy and long on usdcad?
2. Is the reason gbpjpy and eurocad trades because there is dobble top was forming before your entry and there is also divergence?
3. still dont get it how you can choose a chart if you say "Power meter wasn't that promising "

any hint as what you find different in today's EURAUD and EURCAD?
I mean, you obviously picked the correct one
but I just wonder if you had any particular reason to not go with EURAUD too as they seem to me really very simillar.

Peezero, Nothing when I started was particularly strong or weak, not surprising after some sharp moves after the French elections, which left some residual strength for
EUR and GBP. On CAD/JPY and USD/CAD the price structure had broken down plus Oil prices were down and CAd correlates pretty wel with Oil prices. Canada still has
a commodity driven economy. Cad/Jpy entry was a little aggressive, Usd/Cad was pretty standard.

I have some data from last night. Rocky I got out when the PA broke the trend, should I have waited till the PA enters the cloud. Do you have any words of wisdom with counter trends and going with the trend.

Looks to me like you did just fine, bunch of trades and a bunch of small wins adds up 85-90 pips. Successful trading has a strong psychological base to it, meaning
finding the way to trade that makes you "emotionally comfortable". At the same time recognizing your psychological weaknesses(mine is patience). Then you adapt your chosen system to fit those needs. This system allows you to find your sweet spot, not mine. Thats not to say I'm better than you, just that we are different- attitudes
biases, needs etc. and your trading will evolve as you become more comfortable making decisions. So right now you tend towards making fast small trades, as i said thats just fine, but as you get more comfortable you might find that changes or not. So take your trades, then 3/4 hours later go back and dissect them to see what happened after you closed them and if you missed any signals that would have provided a different outcome. This is something I do every day for the trades I make and the ones I
decide not to take.


BTW no trades for me today, charts bored the hell out of me, which is my tell, boredom while trading=impatience=bad trades. Successful trading is just as much about what you decide not to do as it is about what you do.

A few good trades. The trades has certainly changed for the better when I changed to trading the NYSE time from 3 pm South African time = 9 am NY time.

I could have stayed longer but was quite hungry and closed out.

This was my first day trading 1M charts from the London open, and this is my best system trade today. Oanda 1M charts, EUR/JPY. Entry is the yellow circle. Stop is the upper yellow line. Exit is the lower yellow line. Exited on fast drop, doji and twice support held on one minute candles. However, the trade kept going. Previous losses on quick reversals this morning influenced my early exit decision-making, too.

Little late to the party, took a sleep aid last nite. Not something I do very often, still a little groggy. 4 trades 3 winners 1 loser.

Not I nee to get ready to take my better half shopping on rodeo drive(here in rocky point) she puts up with a lot from me. I'm not easy to get along with ans she's done it for 25 years.

Looking to a chart and the slope of the PA, the angle of the chart from the horozontal, any comments. Currently I am not trading the chart as the is some distance from the break thro the AO


I have seen that with several Forex couples suddenly change with a massive Gap. What causes this and can one predicitively with a certain degree of certainity trade this gap. With Trading shares, we tend to say the gap is our friend and the market goes to close the gap before moving in the opp direction. your comments please.

1) I don't trade gaps, never had much luck doing so, i just pass.

2) bottom 2 charts are ones I would toss when i saw them not kind of pa i like to trade too jumpy.

3) 2 main possibilities A- price continues very slow drift down, b-bullish dvrg. has formed and it reverses. my inclination would be to ignore the drift down aqnd hope the dvrg. pops.

four trades today

Can anyone help me to solve this problem of installing bar charts on MT4? The offline M4 chart shows only 6 bars and is inactive.
