Hello, how are you. I think you had a good perception about getting into EMA (H2). This accomplished trader was done with a pending order here it would be 12:00 am and I was already sleeping. I make plans every day, but I still have difficulty as you can see. But I believe that over time these mistakes may decrease. Good Easter.

I know that nothing should be added to the chart, but I am using those because of my difficulty in identifying my mistakes. They are provisional crutches

Hi Miau1,

Welcome back. Indeed it has been a great break off with family and reflection for myself as well.

' Have a question.

Both of us have differing assessments on our plans for EMA for the daily & H2. I have noticed this fairly often with many of us students of late.
I reference the EMA to ROMAR in accordance with what i understand post 8505 to be telling us. Maybe i read what i want to read. Today you seem to be referencing EMA to Purple. According to post 3976 the Paradox is all about support and resistance which means one of us today has to be in the twilight zone and seeing things that are not even there.

Which way is it supposed to be when being objective & writing the plan up?

There can only be 1 correct truth or interpretation for referencing EMA & i think we should sort ourselves out correctly so we don't make silly or basic errors that will most likely take away pips from ourselves in the future. What say you? or....does anyone else out there have a say & would like to chip in?

Am sticking in my heels with nose in the air and a querky smile & saying i'm right - because i'm never wrong. Haha - yeah right.
Yet seriously ...we all require this S/R referencing in our plans to be sorted so as to be reaching our goals. With 80% of the market as consolidation - today we have consolidation. Naturally we need to get our plans correct in order to be reaching TP40 consistently during such consolidated market conditions.
Consolidated markets is where we are going to spend 80% of our time..... which is = 80% of our profits.

Yes, EMA can act as both resistance and support at once, referencing to both ROMAR/Purple. I usually post "Resistance & Support" when that's the case like now, but today I was looking at the space between it and our market and focused on its side "against" our operation (the horsemen support), I should have written "Resistance and support" to be more exact.

What this tells me now for example is: there's a swing up (EMA crossed Purple), but is still a Support from ROMAR. It would mean that you can take an operation both sides from EMA by looking at the whole scenario. But that's my interpretation and I hope I just bring a clearer picture, don't mean to mislead anyone; the post from Dana that you pointed out is the one I took my interpretation from.

Sounds clear to me Miau1 in that you have written down what is seen as a whole. & Yes, your explanation clarifies what you have posted in your plan and what i also see. I happened to show your explanation of your plan in my plan's Notes section. Our differing ways may still confuse beginners in that we both have a differing Template, "standard" or "set way" of showing what we see in our plans.

Does anyone senior have a view in this matter?

EURJPY TRADING PLAN - April 17, 2017

DAILY
ROMAR - Resistance
EMA - Resistance
PSAR - Resistance

Notes: Balance has been accomplished on the Daily, as EURJPY has touched purple. The 4 horsemen are shooting down with green fib. Also, divergence with SAR and DB have attached at 114.840. SAR has also attached to 116.192 (without DB). Lastly, the EMAx and MACD arrows are pointing down.

2H
ROMAR - Resistance
EMA - Support
PSAR - Support

Notes: In the beginning of the day, the SAR attached, with DB following (on top of SAR) - it attached at the top of the candle. Divergence also attached at the bottom of the candle at 114.840. What this told me is that the trend is up and I should be looking for a long trade in the future. The 4 horsemen are shooting up, and green fib is present. Also the EMAx and MACD arrows are pointing up.

1H
ROMAR - Support
EMA - Support
PSAR - Support

Notes: EMA crossed ROMAR, so the downtrend has ended and consolidation is in place. There is a red fib present, with the 4 horsemen in the upwards direction (support).

ENTRY: Since we are in consolidation due to the 1H ROMAR, we can trade long and short. But looking at the 2H, the main trend is still resistance. So it's better if I take a short trade. Hence, I entered short (close to the 2H ROMAR), because the ROMAR is resistance with the EMA being below ROMAR. Also, the Daily's 4 horsemen are shooting down, with SAR attached at the top of the candle.

I will post results when trade is closed and a self evaluation.

Notes for readjustments: Didn’t reach TP for around 0.1 pips, and news are coming. For the sake of learning I will let it run the news, but in the real scenario I would close it 5min earlier or would set the TP to B/E if it was in profit. No matter what happens on the news I’ll consider this one a loss, because EMA held support and in the moment of my trading plan I assumed that EMA was so far (around 60 pips) and wouldn’t be reached, but I was wrong and SAR+EMA pulled up the price.

I woke up at 1:00am to check my H2 chart on my lap top and entered a trade. I'm sure the FIBOS's are not correct because of the resolution. Missed all the excitement as, I went back to sleep after I entered my position. Here is my plan with screen shot.


Session: Sydney EUR – JPY 4 / 17 /2017

Daily: Open above Smooth
ROMAR: Resistance
EMA: Resistance
Parabolic: Resistance
Notes: Four Horsemen down. DB / SAR / down, BLUE / YELLOW / DIVERGENCE attached for the up. SAR attach, in between Smooth and EMA. FIBO up.

H2
ROMAR: Resistance
EMA: Support
Parabolic: Support
Notes. Four Horsemen up. Purple in slider with White. DB up with DIVERGENCE attached. FIBO down.

H1
ROMAR: Support
EMA: Support
Parabolic: Support
Notes: Purple in slider below White and Smooth down, EMA holding support. FIBO down.

Final Notes: H1, H2, in synch with up trend. Daily down. In consolidation. Will enter long position off H2 support.

Adjustments: SAR attach at H2 EMA for the up.

Long: Entered long position off H2 SAR hit at EMA. Set TP +40 SL 40.

Result: Took + 40 from the market.

Here is my trading plan from yesterday's opening. Study it and noticed how I used support and resistance for the entry and exit.

Date: April 17, 2017 - 17:00 ET

DAILY
ROMAR - Resistance
EMA - Resistance
PSAR - Resistance

Notes: Yesterday's opening candle had placed today's closing at Smooth with EMA as resistance.

H2
ROMAR - Resistance
EMA - Support
PSAR - Support

Notes: The 4 Horsemen in an uptrend with ROMAR as resistance.

H1
ROMAR - Support
EMA - 1 bar from crossing EMA for support
PSAR - Support

Notes: The 4 Horsemen in an uptrend with ROMAR crossing EMA for support.

Final Notes: The market is in consolidation with the H2 ROMAR as resistance and the H1 ROMAR as support. Both H1 and H2 4 Horsemen in an up trend with EMA on both charts as support. The Daily EMA is resistance. At this time the market is at the H2 ROMAR resistance and ROMAR will hold resistance until the H1 begins a swing down which will be many hours into the future.

The Daily bar momentum is up with EMA as resistance. The next Daily open will do so between Smooth and EMA placing Smooth as support. Projected entry will be with the Hit on the H1 ROMAR support with confluence on the Daily Smooth. This will place the H2 in a slider for a target hit on the Daily EMA resistance with roughly a 60 pip target.

Very interesting with Hendo and my trading plans are pretty much similar. The only difference is Hendo using the SAR and mine using ROMAR. Bottom line on both trades is support and resistance.

I'm a bit confused Dana, isn't it risky to trade against H2 ROMAR (around 40 pips away, and only around 30 in Hendo's entry) using H1 ROMAR D1 smooth support or even H2 SAR as reference? I mean, when can we trade against H2 ROMAR knowing price will pierce it enough?

I'm using H2 ROMAR as a "main" reference, in this case to choose the direction of my trade and the start point, and obviously I'm missing something big, so I would really appreciate the clarification.

The market is in consolidation beginning with the H1 turning for the up with EMA. You then had the H1 ROMAR finalizing the H1 reversal. You are no longer in trend. Now - take it from there in using the Daily for reference as support and resistance.

The objective Miau is seeing the whole picture when creating your trading plan. It is then you are able to see everything and not just one scenario.

Dana, but why are you referencing daily smooth as support? Is it because of the opening above it? Does it always work this way?
