Hi all FF members,

Starting this thread to share trading views to help achieve a weekly target of 15% or more.

Targeted pairs:

EUR/USD
GBP/JPY


Hope most of the FF members will participate, looking forward to learn with everyone.

I'm targeting 3.5% daily (hence my username, how creative of me), so that works out to 18.77% weekly target but I'm pretty much a rook. Would be more than happy to give my two pips worth! Looking forward to hearing from everyone else!

Personally, I am not fully convinced of USD strength yet, so selling USD/JPY remains to be one of my trade ideas for the week.

If looking at GBP/JPY, I think we should see some retrace.

PS: Why limit to EUR/USD and GBP/JPY?

Hi ThreeHalf (creative indeed, haha). Hope you are achieving your target of 18.77% weekly.

I see you're more on the bearish side on USD/JPY pair, maybe I should add in this pair to trade to? Only trade EUR/USD and GBP/JPY as I'm not familiar with the other pairs.

And yes I'm expecting a retrace at price around 135.71x (Pair is still on bearish trend, IMO). So for me, im hoping to see GBP/JPY retrace at 135.71x level then a short to 133.4xx area.

Initial target was if the pair closes above 136.28x area then we might expect an upward movement. Guess that's out.

I managed to hit my target for the first week, let's hope it continues to pan out for week 2. I have big plans, but this need to work out first.

I'm bearish on USD/JPY because of inflows to the yen and because we know that Trump doesn't want the USD to be too strong. On Yellen's side, she isn't going to give us more hikes, so any further upside based on news would be pretty capped. Fundamentally, I'm seeing either downside or flat. On techs however, the USD could be dued for a rebound back to 110s level. So yes, you can say that I'm remaining bearish on USD/JPY, but cautiously so.

In addition, if you read my journal, it seems that the BOJ (or someone) isn't keen to see yen strengthen too much. Just a naked eye observation on my part, take it with a pinch of salt.

I don't think we should be just looking at a few pairs-yes, we should have our pet pairs, but we should always keep a lookout on others too, no? That said, I'm avoiding exotic pairings for now. Nothing wrong with being focused, I know there are plenty of traders who make it trading only one or two particular pairs and/or only one index. It is just that I'm not that skillful enough to keep digging the same mine and finding green pips.

I would probably be looking to sell GBP/JPY, EUR/JPY and USD/JPY again this week, but after facing being OTM by as many as 50 pips, I would want to exercise abit more caution. What trade ideas are you looking at?

Thats good news! I'm sure week 2 will go according to plan, just remember to not be greedy!

Good of views on the fundamental side, as for the tech side if it does go up to 108.9xx to 109.1xx these area will be a good place to short, at least that's what I see, nothing's 100%.

Just had a look on your journal thread, seems like you achieved more than 18.77% for your weekly target!

Good point on not just mining on a selected pair, more pairs means more choices right? I'll look out for USD/JPY too. Thanks for the advice ThreeHalf.

Im with you on GBP/JPY and USD/JPY as their major trend's still bearish. I'm looking to forward to a retrace for EUR/USD next week at price around 1.0585x area and if it does and daily candle closes above price 1.0592x looking for a long till 1.07xxx. Just my view, might be wrong.

Very kind words, thank you. Very flattered you took a look at my journal-it's mostly a crazy guy's rants.

I'm not too sure about EUR/USD. It seems a little directionless at the moment to me, or perhaps it is just my untrained, unrefined eyes.

AUD/USD might present an opportunity however. It has broken 0.7500 but has not closed below it on any day. This might signal that AUD might be ranging, rather than breaking into further downside. Might be worth taking a look and playing the range? I don't know.

Hahaha! Those "rants" are whats making money!

EUR/USD just made a very unclear movement towards 1.064xx, but overall trend is still bearish to me.

Thanks for pointing that out on AUD/USD, seems like its ranging indeed. Good call ThreeHalf.

OK, this week is off to a bad start. I missed the final chance to sell yen pair rallies...and now we can't for the day.

I wanted to sell USD/CAD, but kept waiting for a retrace which didn't happen. It turned out to be a huge mover. Could had bagged sufficient for the entire week, fml. This is why sometimes I get into a real conflict of finding a good entry or just finding a workable entry. Sometimes, in the name of finding a good entry, we miss HUGE chances. Yet at times, we can't really force things. Ah, this chit is really an art more than a science I would say.

Struggling to find a trade for today, sigh.

Hi ThreeHalf, don't get frustrated. Remember not to get your emotions involved while entering a trade.

Maybe you should reconsider targeting your total % which is 17.5% a week instead of breaking it down to daily which is more stressful. At least that's what I think, but which ever works for you then do it!

Bad Monday for me too. Everything going sideways.

EUR/USD Daily closed below 50.0% level, we might see price drop to 1.0567x

What a big gap up for EUR/USD, most of us are probably affected emotionally and looking to enter a big short for the gap to be filled. (Atleast I am)

but nothing comes out from being greedy. I would suggest to stick to target and focus.

Looking for a retrace up to 1.88xx - 1.90xx level before entering a short.

Remember the % you're willing to risk per trade guys. ALWAYS have a stop loss.

Took two shorts around 1.88xx and 1.89xx level.

SL @ 1.091xx
