Hi Rockypoint, very good idea to take profit about the CAD's - Employment Change news.

Could you please explain for wih reason you didn't take the USDCAD trade, who look very similar to GBPCAD ? (see pics below).

No trades for me today, Strong CAD but every thing else is flat.

Rarely trade USD/CAD on news tends to move too quickly and erratically. Almost all of its move happened at 5:30

A small profit +11.7 pips

You say that the timing of the chart is extremely important. You trade the USD charts from your time 8.30 am to roughly midday.
[half an hour before the stock markets open].

Can one use this for all time frame charts. Would this be when the various currencies moves greatest?.

I have found a good site for gold charts. this site shows graphically the previous 3 days as different coloured lines

I try to trade from 8am till 11am NY time, and I believe that the best time to day trade is the opening of whatever the market, ny, london, tokyo.

Really busy, but at same time easy day as charts just giving great set ups with clear entries. 8 trades, 7 winners and 1 loser all fx except for 1 gold trade.

Not a thing going on today, extremely flat usually not a great trading day when the big mover is the NZD.

I have got used to AO and enjoy it. The other platform that I use does not have AO and I was wondering if we could modify another indicator to give the same results. - Probably not, but worth asking the question. The indicators I have on this platform is.

You could use the MACD histogram in place of the AO
