US oil H4 with Ucad overlayed on it...the -ve correlation is beginning to show , oil seems to be targeting higher which means ucad will be going lower..let's see how this play out.

Hi pips29,

Would you mind explaining a bit more why taking the short. From my view, last daily candle have a long bullish wick. H4 has just closed to red APB and still to early to short. Plus the trade is straight into a 200ema on H1 and some s/r level.

Sorry I just saw the request to show a chart where there are too many lines. Please see attached the H4 USDCAD chart. I mark these levels based on strong body or strong rejection wick. You can see it's quite clustered.

Edit: at 12:00 when the H4 candle closed, the USDCAD sell trade would be selling into some s/r. That's the s/r I am talking about in the earlier post.

this is the last trade...one of my favourites....I have taken some profits on the loonie and locked in at b/e+.....got to watch this beast

I like to remind everyone that I pay more attention to H4 when trading H1 (ratio :1:4)..the candle before the bearish engulfing was a doji/spinning top (indecision) but the next bearish candle confirmed price is going down(High probability)..I entered as soon as price broke the H4 34 ema and targeting the 200 ema as the final destination. I was very confident with this trade and after what I saw with oil, I knew nothing' gonna stop me from taking this trade..I wasn't even aware there was the daily 10 ema to ponder about..I wish to point out I place more importance to the 34 ema

antonym, you have one too many lines on your chart..Plot the significant ones and not every "tom,dick and harry".This will enable you to see a much clearer picture especially if you want to read pa..it's ok I guess if you use indicators to enter and exit...but a naked chart is best for pa trading analysis imo

Just a friendly reminder, I have the 200 ema on H4 and daily only and not on H1 and below..the 34 ema is on the chart as I use a dashboard made by fellow trader FG who runs this thread..when he's not around I am here and if he's here I am here too. He's busy with his wives/girlfriends and will be here as soon as he gets free...just joking FG

Just in case you are not familiar with TS2 platform(fxcm) the 34 and 200 ema on the chart are on H4 and not H1

the above trade took 44 pips from me..this morning when pricewas coming to the level on my chart I took a buy and the news help me with some profit..I am locking the balance at b/e+...I have no target yet but hope to move my stop up gradually

I see that price is rejected by 34ema. Are you expecting a breakout to the downside hence the tight stop?

Would you mind discussing a bit for the reasons of GU buy trade? I really have no clue, except that the entry is on the price breaking above 34ema on M15.

I see that GU is facing some resistance now.
