How long should it take before I hit the jackpot

When I read the title to this thread I had to chuckle but then I realized I wondered that too when I started out. The first time I searched day trading on google and found forex was over 10 years ago. I still work a 40 hr week...Granted, I got away from trading for quite a few years. I promise you, you aren't going to get rich over night doing this. It takes a lot of time reading, learning, and asking questions, lots of questions. I used to spend more than 12 hrs a day reading and asking questions. But, the hard work has paid off​

Its not so tough.You have to first work around with basic and look for strategies online.Mix,match and experiment.You will get a good one soon.Best of luck with it mate.
I don't think there's a definite answer to that question. It depends on how hard you look for said strategy, as well as, I think, a little bit of luck. It's a trial and error approach - you find a strategy, you test it, it doesn't work as well as you'd like. You find another, you do the same, and so on, and so forth. Sooner or later you'll find something suitable.
3 to 5 years , there are many fake and worthless indicators to be test

It depends on your effort and if you find the right mentor who teach you the right knowledge, it may shorten your learning curve.

Most likely never.
There is no jackpot strategy...

There is no foolproof system...

There is no holy grail...

Everything functions based on probability, supply and demand, support and resistance, etc.

Indicators are either leading or lagging, never fortunetelling...

Even if you could reliably pick the peaks and valleys and bought and sold accordingly you would still be exposed to risk...

As to the how long question... It's relative to the amount of work you want to put in... It takes 10 years of schooling to become a Medical Doctor... Would you put in that amount of time, before you see a profit? Their education costs, and so will yours...

No one knows. It differ from person to person. And even most people never get into it. It Will depend on various factors. If you come to forex by knowing that it's the easiest thing to do, first you have to unlearn yourself. Then we have to relearn everything. How quick learner you are that's a matter. How well you can apply your knowledge that's also important matter. So it's better to learn without any negetive thinking.

I think that it should also be mentioned that trading is not gambling and there's no jackpot, just a lot of work - to study, to learn, to gain experience, to get better.
