single digit power meter means that the pairs are probably going sideways or consolidating.

nothing earth shaking just would check pairs with cad and or jpy first, to see if anything of those charts are showing pa that i like to trade.

Which bring me to the next question - Pse describe the charts that you like to trade and why these charts.

I probably attracted to the wrong types of charts, which then is questionable and I am needing to re-program my thinking. Thanks RP.

After breaking thro s/r lines, how many bars should one wait till one enters the trade.

Nice trades Rocky, I made similar trades CAD/CHF and CAD/JPY until my PC froze and exited early.

The main issue I am having and I do not know if it is my PC, internet connection or the MT4 platform is that if I open up more than 2 range bar charts it all goes slow and stalls. It is so frustrating as, for example, I was watching both EUR/CAD and AUD/CAD looking for entry and the chart just froze so I gave up.

Does anyone else using MT4 have this issue and if so do they have any solutions? The thing with MT4 (I'm not sure about your platform Rocky) is that since the rangebar chart is offline you require the live chart open for the feed into the offline rangebar chart hence two charts per pair. Rocky how much RAM does your PC have, does anyone have issues with 16GB RAM?

Any solutions would be appreciated, love the system cheers.

MT4 it is important to look at the below chart and see what you have set it up to. I think the mst important is the range bar and that needs to be around 6000.

I trust this will help. You will also find that the offline charts reads off the harddrive and if you have too many programs running this will also slow down.
To overcome most of the problems I goto Ctrl B and remove all the trend lines etc, this should free it up a lot.

Hey Razor,

I have a trading laptop, that i got last year it has 32gb RAM, Intel I7 processor, 512GB SSD and another 1TB of memory(which is way too much) and supports 6 monitors.

Before that my old laptop and my old desktop both had 8GB RAM and I never had problems with that either. and I usually have anywhere from 6-10 charts open.

Hey Morrishe, these charts for u

Examples of charts I would look at when I open my trading platform and then discard and not look at again. Because of low volume on some pairs I'll look at 25 as well as 50 pips charts. these charts are 25 and 50 ticks on each pair. Back and forth with no areas of price consolidation to speak of, means you need close to perfect timing
to trade them.

Here are charts that I like the look of when I start trading these I would keep checking. I would say 80% of what I trade, the charts are like this when I start for the day.

What kind of laptop is that? I thought I had a high end laptop (I7, 16gig RAM, 512 SSD, dual monitor). The 6 monitors connected to a laptop would be useful!

Right now I trade with 3 monitors between 2 computers, plus laptop (4 monitors total), but want to add about 4 more monitors.

I've been busy so not trading much, but still around. Tomorrow going to the Big Island to see the volcano and lava tubes (among other things) with my son's 4th grade class for a field trip. Back to trading next week!

Its a customized ASUS 17.6" lap top, was customized by my son in law who is a major computer freak.

8 screens is massive overkill imo. I had 4 and that was probably spot on.

Going to be switching to 2x 34" curved screens soon. Now that is going to be cool!

Could not sleep last night so wound up trading, 4 fx trades all JPY pairs all real simple set ups. Going to try and catch some zzzzzz's maybe back for more trades later.
