Hello Everyone

Sorry I have been so quiet this week, but had lots on. We are moving back to the UK this summer so we are having lots to sort out (removals, new schools etc). I will also be in Dana's stomping ground of the good state of Florida this summer, so had all that to arrange (doing the Disney thing before the kids get too old!). I have hired a GMC Acadia, absolutley love them so will be living the American Dream for a couple of weeks!

Just thought I would pop in and say well done to everyone, there are some really good plans been posted and clearly a lot of you are putting things together. Its really great to see.

Hi Everyone

Just want to make sure my trading journal is correct and conforms to all the rules of the Paradox. I'm not sure on one of the trades this week and would really appreciate clarification, it maybe I have done a lot of studying this week and my mind is playing tricks and I am trying to see a trade where there is none.

This is the session for the 28th with the new daily candle, I made my plan for Sydney open. H1 Romar was support and H2 Romar was resistance with less than 45 pips between, ranging. In this situation we wait for the breakout. As the trend is overall down, this is at resistance going short. At Sydney open candle, the paradox gave us a H2 candle breaching Romar resistance with DB, green and magenta divergence attached. The new daily candle SAR attached at the top against the Romar downtrend with EMA resistance around 10 pips above. Also for added confluence this was at the H2 0 fib. H1 horsemen were running flat at the time. I have included screenshots for easy reference.

Am I seeing this trade short at the candle opening just beneath H2 Romar resistance within the rules of the paradox, or am I wrong and trying to find a trade where there isn't. I am seeing this as the paradox telling us the breakout will be to the south. I could go on and on, but I really don't want to analyse too much. As it turns out this move in the market went for over 40 pips, but that doesn't automatically mean it is a trade that was within the rules of the paradox.

Any feedback or a nudge in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Disney world is a lot of fun for the grown up too. I'm sure you'll feel right at home with all the up and down rides

I want to start and say how well your doing and big up to you for having the courage, consistently, to post your charts and your plans, etc.

Please do us all a favour, and post the full chart when you take the time to do it. It doesnt take you any more time, but it gives us all the same picture. Your one of the shining lights, ie the people that try and keep coming back after the knocks, and come back better.

I can only speak for myself, but post each chart in full, give us the whole picture as you see it, so we can see it! Otherwise, although I consider myself relatively liberal and open to new ideas, I'd like you to pay for me to go on a mind reading course.

Thank you for your kind words, it really means a lot!

I see your point completely, I have posted the full H1, H2 and daily charts, although I have had to scroll back as its a few days ago, and the fibo isn't displaying correctly on the screenshots (not sure how to get around that).

Edit: Might have found the answer in post 8286 a month ago, similar setup although the trade I'm referring too didn't have as much confluence on the daily, but did on H2.

Entry: Short off H2 PSAR or H2 ROMAR.
Notes for Re-adjustments:
Evaluation: PT SAR with a hit on Parabolic @ 2200hrs NY time. Entry was made midway between over the top of PSAR & ROMAR Resistances with a gap of approx 20pip between the two resistance indicators mentioned above. Divergence appeared on the next top candle after PT. Left the trading station. I feel this was a good trade because of the entry being with trend on both the H2 & Daily, the distance between the PSAR hit & ROMAR. TP40 made.

Thank you to Shinny & others who have mentioned and suggested the book "Trading in the Zone".

By going through this text it has helped settle my Trading state of mind to a more natural & neutral state of being.
Thus, keeping me in harmony & responsible with another life’s mentor’s suggestion - "Nil excess, No shortfall".

Until this week i have not been able to achieve this level of neutrality and detachment in the Trading side of my life.
The text is also in audio book form for those whom prefer this type of information intake instead of or in conjunction with reading.

During my trades this week the level of personal agitation/emotion before & after PT has been almost eliminated. Objectivity has, i feel - been sharpened.
Perhaps giving us another "edge".

Yes Hendo, I had noticed; however i did not at the time feel this was as significant importance as the ROMAR, PSAR & EMA Resistance trend on the Daily & H2 & the actions of the Daily Purple & White was actually distracting me with a little more weight in assessment of the chart & a little away from what the Smooth Resistance was telling me - if you get my drift. i PT for the trade based upon the plan & the plan was based upon the trend. Additional confluence is a good thing. Am slowly getting better at this. Hare & Tortoise.

I'll take your hint on board for application into future trades when looking at the whole picture of the scenarios from here on. Often miss snippets from the plan like that & it is very helpful for us all in increasing proficiency when more advanced traders bring things like this up. Little things when all combined can make a big difference in assessing the Big Picture.

Wish I could get this to work on my mt4. Anyone using it with windows 10 successfully? Got the templates up for all three charts (even thought fibs arent looking right) but indicators wont go on chart after I add them. Any help would be appreciated.

Fib problem maybe is related to your mt4 not receiving ticks, perhaps waiting until market opening tomorrow will fix it, the other indicators I don't know, post a picture so we can help.

I opened mt4, and to "fix" the fibo when there are no ticks, you can right click and "update" the chart, should make it look like the same than it would live.

For reference, I'll upload how you should make you charts look like after updating every chart (my advice: keep your eyes opened to fine details such as bars amount, indicators used/not used, and so on):

oh ok. here is a screenshot of the indicators that when I click on them they do not attach to chart. also i just realized this is actually windows 7, not 10. so i am really confused why it isnt working.

You don't need to load the indicators individually, you have to right click the chart and then choose the paradox templates according to the timeframe (You need to read the thread, it gives detailed info about how to set it all up, and there are more things wrong with your mt4 you must learn, that aren't related to the indicators themselves).

i had no "update" option when i right clicked. there was a "refresh" and after clicking it didnt change anything.
