re: gold, I miss 2013, many $50+ weekly candles in there....that's a $300 drop in the 1st 2 weeks of April '13.....I miss markets that move....

I got up early and went kayaking. just got home. Looks like the VIX taking another mammoth dump

nothin really changing on my end. My Euro and Yen Shorts are beginning to move the right direction. Certainly need some follow through and preferably a close below the recent lows.... aka the DXY just needs to keep powering up.

I have a shitload of random equity stock and ETF options plays going too. big winner so far are the RSX May 19 calls I bought for 1.19 that are trading at 2.70 now
no real big stop outs, just everything towing the line waiting to move.

Ya, I'm still seeing the same thing on a macro view. Bull markets always have small shallow quick pullbacks before making another leg higher. Wall streets game doesn't hinge on anything related to health care. Poor people care about health care, rich people care about lower taxes and deregulation of the markets.

sad when your "buying opportunity" is barely a 2% slip. Would be nice to see something bigger, sure it could happen if we get a scandal or a war breaking out. Impossible to plan for those though & so I blow change at the bearish spreads.

dude that is a decent amount of tidal power for real. I was actually just quoting Doc Brown from Back to the future. lol

I slapped a short strangle on X today... APR 28/35 for 1.20 credit. I can see a few of these things goin sideways for a few weeks.

spoos should keep moving up and grinding out the stops of the poor bastards who tried calling the top here.

yeah if Global Warming keeps up Nunavut will be Palm Springs North, they will need the GW for the AC. If spoos will do what it do sometimes and just grind up 10 pts a week or so, that's a pretty easy thing to trade - put on the call calendars or diagonals with weeklies and try to catch that uptick and maybe sell call verts beyond the time spreads to recoup the debit + a little, the bane is the big poppy but up here against 2,400+ you have to wonder if the heavy lifts are already done mostly.....

No. I moved back to Toronto after a year ( haven't updated my profile yet)

YEAH I see support generally @ $23....financials should benefit with a rising rate regime on tap ...iv's look collapsed so the options are cheap and you can fund some call spreads near the money pretty cheaply....the next FOMC is May 3, you might trap a big move there if we get another 25 bps
