Depends.

Sometimes, I don't use a SL when I'm in front of my computer, or whatever device I do trading on, and stare at my position for the entire time it's open, so that I can close it when I see it doesn't agree with me on where it should go.

Such situations are rare, as I rarely have that much free time. I never, ever traded without stop loss. I only made my SL too low back when I was new.

Trading without stop loss calls for a disaster. Especially when you open a position and leave it.

Aren’t you concerned about losing your internet connection or a computer malfunction? True, those things happen very rarely, but I think it’s good to be prepared just in case. Mostly because it’s happened to me once or twice and it was not a pleasant experience.

Ouch! I completely ignore and never even remotely think of that possibility. But it would be really nasty if that happened.

I disapprove because without using stop losses I lose my green pips and thus my money must of the time I have 1-3 TP lines and when TP1 is hit I drag my SL line to the entry line enz. enz.

notice how some brokers have these sudden spikes which are usually around 50 pips and always its the liquidity that widened the spread out of no where, one theory states its a good idea to actually stick to simply hedge when uncertain but keep an SL when in profit.

I stopped using stop loss a long time ago. There are too many false breaks. And everyone knows where stop loses levels are. Instead I just hedge my losses when I see that there is no chance to recover.

for the loss in forex is always to try to learn the mistake, losing in forex is very not expected in forex, it would be better to learn every time in doing as in on a demo account or a contest demo in the learning stages of reaching an expectation that we will get

in the use of stop loss it would be better, because invariably to learn in running trading by not installing a stop loss is very dangerous at risk, for it would be better able to do is to always try to learn as in a demo account to practice running a trade with a stop loss in pairs and to better understand the workings of the forex properly

Pros also have risk software look everything they do and if they have too much risk their trades are closed anyway. they are not at 500 x leverage with a $200 account like the retail trader.

Hedging can be a good idea but it's better if we diversify our investment to different avenues then we can minimize our risks, and that is also the purpose of hedging i guess.

Hi I trade with an online prop firm, and I know a number of professional traders. Those trading FX scale into their positions. The more volatile the market the more important it is to scale in. This is why you'll see professional traders in ES scale into their positions most of the time. If they do not have a stop loss on, they will certainly have a mental stop. Professional or not, you will lose sometimes. Do you think it is realistic to leave a trade running against you without any practical limitations? Professionals know when to take a loss
