Slept on what i was doing yesterday & i really wanted to find a reference for what i trading yesterday when i arose...& found this just now to verify most of what i was putting into yesterday in my plan. We may find it helpful? i believe especially helpful when combined with what Dove has just advised above. I'll see what i can do in combining Dove's info into todays plan.

Your four trading indicators Purple, White, Smooth, and PSAR are the resources for your profit. These 4 horsemen deliver the visual of each swing. White and Smooth must cross Purple before a trade can be taken. And in a slider (consolidation) EMA must also cross Purple for a reversal. If not; then the slider will continue in the original trend. And you use the 2 hour chart for this reference.

OB - I know you are desperately trying and I feel for you. The problem I am finding is not putting the scenarios together. Yesterday the H2 was showing the slider in how White, Smooth, EMA was crossing Purple. Take a close look at White first, Smooth second, and then EMA crossing PURPLE. If you go back and study this scenario on how they cross you will see the slider going back into the downtrend without any problem. Each scenario is different - you just need to recognize each one.

I have looked again at your responses regarding confluence:
The same with the 4 Horsemen on the H1 in consolidation once the Horsemen are in place on the H1 then H2 is next. Once the Parabolic had flipped on the H1 then be looking for the H2 Parabolic confluence. The only problem is recognizing sliders which is very easy.
Once the H1 Horsemen are in trend with the Parabolic flip, then show patience with the H2. If the H2 EMA DOES NOT CROSS Purple on the next candle of the SMOOTH crossing then be looking for a slider and/or a shallow swing of 20 - 60 pips. If you get both, or either, the DB/SAR on the slider then entry is made with confluence.

Linking in with what you have said - this screen shot below we can see that Smooth crossed purple at the white arrow I have placed onto the screen shot (1). At label (2) we see that on this next crossing EMA does not cross Purple. It is irrelevant that EMA crossed at (3) because it did not cross at the next candle after (1) and entry for the short is at (4). If I wait (hesitate) till the next candle Purple crosses white to eliminate the PSAR for a short also.
Am i seeing the whole picture here or am i still compartmentalising everything and for which has probably been keeping me out of sync with what's really going on within the whole picture?
From a work stand point in healthcare i often teach "look at the patient" (which is synonymous with look at the whole picture you are teaching here on this thread - so i am familiar in your approach - just poor on execution "on the Paradox not at work" just to clarifying here for everyone the difference in competency of place & time ..... If you're my patient you're actually pretty safe with me ) - so i teach, what is the patient saying to you before you even talk to or examine them. What do you see?
I am indeed trying to observe the whole picture before i begin to make a plan. I will get there & i thank you for your encouragement and great patience.
Indeed one of the problems i am trying to overcome is not being allowed to have options of long + short in the plan so as to move with the flow within my concept of "in the moment", as we are taught that dual entry options deletes focus on the big picture within the Paradox - this is my problem to overcome not yours and i will continue to refrain from dual choices as instructed. Dual options for me stems from work where we always have a back up plan depending on the moment and then plan C then D then when things are really bad - then the crash cart. This is previous baggage & habits that need to be eliminated & obviously are not suited to in any way shape or form to trading the Paradox. The Paradox is in a different reality to healthcare - & thus different rules apply. i must get used to it & that's it. Lessons will be learned by making 1 choice only. i will continue to work on the creation of 1 choice plans - Chocolate or vanilla - choose.
Paradoxically there is the re-adjustments to plans and places a spanner in the works .... i laugh & laugh at myself. i will get this one day sometime soonish i hope. Never Give Up.

I have been approached for some assistance, which is completely fine. i am happy to oblige. I shall reply on the thread if I may rather than by PM - as it will clear up any misunderstandings for many people here.

i understand that English may not be your 1st language. English is my 1st. You have an advantage here over myself because you come from outside the English language box and have had to learn new tricks in order to learn English to the level that you have. Hard lessons learned & achievement enough already to show that you can do this. I am learning to speak another couple of languages - it's hard !! Frustrating !! But so what. Anything worthwhile that comes easy is probably not worthwhile. Do not use your excuse of poor language skills here. Use your proven methodology you have already developed so far in over coming your reduced English language skills - use your advantage. I failed high school English 5 years in a row - with English as my 1st language - so you're doing pretty good in the language department.

From the very start of this thread and many more times throughout this thread we as students are repeatedly told to read the whole thread. Then we are told to study when we are incorrect in our interpretations or demonstrated fruitless baby-like actions. We each have our difficulties here, perhaps yours in part is the language barrier. The answer to your question is in the thread. Nothing is missing. If you do happen to miss it; you are responsible for missing it. Read it again, like i and the most of us here have done.... many many times. If you still miss it, read it again. And again. If even then, if you still miss it, read it again. There is a purpose in the teaching method here by our teacher. It is similar to the way in which i teach the things i am master of. Learn the purpose by being a good student and do what the teacher says to do. By doing this you bring honour to yourself and to everyone else here. By looking for spoon feeding makes us a babylike.

There are no short cuts for any of us. Listen, study, do and reflect. Study some more. Ask questions by all means and take the many criticisms we all have had, and do receive it like a responsible adult & not as a child. Once all this is done we will all support you.

You have asked the question, i have been happy to respond in public but also deliberately anonymously so as not to cause you any public shame .
Your response to the instruction and teachings as they are presented to us is how you will be measured here.

See post here: 8398 .....so that you get my instruction that i give to you free of charge with a visual. It demonstrates the using of myself as a goose and being man enough to publicly deal with my personal use of this trading system being practiced in an extremely poor fashion.

Come back when you've done your study.

Trade closed 5 minutes before the multiple red news.

Result: +13pips.

Self evaluation:

I have to admit the EST-EDT change without having the GMT change yet in my country got me offguard and unaware (last two weeks I've been moving house but still is my fault), realised late that the NYC close was 1 hour earlier than usual in my time so I had to make the trading plan in a hurry in order not to be late right after adjusting the offset on my charts.

I think I made a mistake despite seeying enough room (43 pips) against the H1 ROMAR in the moment of my trading plan and entry, because it stopped the price without reaching 40 pips. But I'm happy that I was able to see H1 ROMAR as a "price stopper" at least, perhaps should consider more room? Next time I'll do better.

I too saw I missed the D1 divergences for the low (thanks to Marian's trading plan), it wouldn't change my entry but still is something I don't want to happen again, it's a great mistake.
Also, I ignored the low impact news on purpose because they were isolated releases (not multiple low/mid news at the same time) but not sure if this is the right thing, would like some input if possible about if this was the right thing to do.

If it wasn't for the red news I would have kept this opened, as I'm sure the market will get back on the ROMAR/D1 trend eventually.

Edit. Also forgot that I mixed about when the H2/H1 fibo would flip, lesson learnt.

Trade closed at 08:25 ET, 5 minutes before the red USD news, 10 pips profit. There was a low impact JPY news event at 00:30 ET (Revised Industrial Production m/m); I did not close the trade 5 minutes before this event because I was in a deep sleep at this time, but at this time the trade was 12-15 pips in profit. Before the Sydney open, when I saw the 2 hour below ROMAR with DB/SAR and Divergence attached, it reminded me of a successful trade by OB not so long ago: He had the 2 hour above ROMAR resistance with an open candle below ROMAR resistance; this time the 2 hour was below ROMAR support with an open candle above ROMAR support. And he had confluence with Smooth resistance on the Daily; this time the Daily Smooth was acting as support. He also had a DB/SAR connection with Magenta Divergence; this time it was the SkyLightBlue Divergence. The ROMAR S/R seems to have the power as stopper in the market if there is confluence with other factors. Later today the 2 hour Smooth crossed the Purple with the market above the Smooth, the green EMA arrow showed up, the SAR detached from the DB and attached at the Parabolic resistance. It stopped there at the 2 hour Parabolic, at the 1 hour ROMAR resistance, at the Daily Purple; and it moved down again to my entry level. I hope that now after the red USD news at 08:30 ET it will move upwards, the DB will lay over the SAR, and it will go through my TP level at 122.100, but for the sake of discipline, I closed my position 5 minutes before the red news.

I think the fact that you have the 'minerals' (if you click the link there is an f word so beware children) to show your trades, should be enough teaching for anyone. Your English is fine. There are enough charts and arrows on here to satisfy those who are determined enough.

Theres a SAR as well which is making me nervous - i wasnt expecting it and now i think im possibly entering against the PSAR and could be in a slider instead of a swing as there is some distance between Purple & EMA + the lesson from yesterday. Sticking with the plan. Long entry taken at open candle above PSAR 40/40. Looking like it probably fits for a swing trade on the H2 & confluent to Daily up trend. Purple has crossed ROMAR support as has done white. Smooth slid over ROMAR. Oh man...here i find the clue to my present misery i think in the word slid meaning consolidation and not a swing. However in addition my references: i think i may have confused when the market opens with a personal interpretation of when the candle opens ....below a parabolic..... This could be a careless entry indeed or just plain luck if it pulls off a TP40. Chocolate/Vanilla - choose. Chose a long so wait and see. Live and learn. Im not too confident here in this position - may have been too eager and trigger happy. The only good thing was i did not hesitate on the open candle at all.

The Parabolic's: The Parabolic's with this system is a deadly weapon as they are not standard. And the reason is because they are not taken out with the candles but with a hidden LR. Which means; they are a heavy support and resistance. Oli's edit in bold=> If the PSARs are in an uptrend and the market opens below a Parabolic, and the Parabolic did not flip; then the next candle will continue in the uptrend and vice-versa. Signal for a parabolic flip is when the Parabolic is at EMA for the Purple crossing.
At Trade closed - unfortunately for my learning - trade was interrupted by market news. Closed 3 min before news. I was hoping to see what would happen without the news and evaluate a full trade but alas, am just left with a shred of evidence to evaluate with.
To conclude i fully knew i was planning to counter trade to the H2 Parabolic down trend for a Long & based the long on H2 ROMAR support holding. i feel confident that under the microscope examination of the definitions of a slider and a swing that this was a H2 slider due to the slide of smooth over the top of ROMAR plus the failure of closing the gap between purple & EMA the next candle after smooth crossed purple to flip the parabolic and will have continued in a down trend (if no market news) as per yesterdays lesson that i did not digest fully because i was trigger happy today. If i'm wrong in my assessment, may someone please advise? If i'm correct then this is getting easier for me. If i'm not correct it's back to better hard & quality study.

Marian are you on a laptop or experiencing some other issue? Just noticing you have much more than 39 and a half bars; likewise I have fibo as up from 121.626 not down from your 122.873. Good trading.

Oli - let me make a suggestion: Instead of posting an evaluation about yourself - make an evaluation of the trade itself. Evaluating the trade in what you did right or wrong. Not about what you think you did "right or wrong" or "should of - should have". You used the word "i" 26 times in this evaluation in which I would call analyzing the trade instead of evaluating the trade. You would learn a lot more evaluating the trade with your trading plan; and not what you think - but what actually happened AFTER you pulled the trigger according to your trading plan.

Lets make this real simple - You have the H1 ROMAR as Resistance and the H2 ROMAR as Support with less than 40 for a trade. So take it from there.

Dana, in the moment of my buy (20h candle open) ROMAR (and PSAR) was around 42-43 pips away and that's what made me think that there was enough space for the operation to progress, how many pips of distance to H1 ROMAR would you suggest as "safe" to take the trade in this scenario? I was thinking around 45 or more after looking what the market did, but maybe is too much.

In case of this scenario with the H1 and H2 ROMAR's - no-matter what - you always respect ROMAR and any other support/resistance with at least a 45 pip gap with entry. This is where you learn how to judge a ranging mode for trading. If the 45 pip gap is not there - then you do not trade until a breakout. The risk factor is not worth any trade.
