Because of request i would like to collect ideas here:

Basic Alerts:
Buy:
- ABP blue
- TDI green crosses red up
- Stoch(14,5,5) up but NOT oversolded
Sell:
Vice versa

Additional: Volatiy Indicator has to cross the border up for buy/sell!

U can add your thoughts for an indicator here!

Nice thread. Simple Idea: Tma Slope trending (green or red) good angle of TDI--->enter. Nothing more. Exit up to you ...1:2 1:3 or Slope starts ranging or even scalping on lower frames.

Here you go. But visual backtesting TMA stuff dont work due it repaints. Buts it works, try it forward.

Thanks for your interest.

Here at this i am talking about only entry (we will discuss after that about TP and SL)

Trading with TDI depends on which time frame user wants to trade..

But we can have all possible features/options and let user to use how/ ( which TF) he wants to trades

Please include following Options or filters enable or disable by user

1. DOL (mostly good if some one trade 1hr or below TF)
2. S/R level (breakout of last bars)
2. Trade timing ( let user put from XXXX to XXXXX
3. EMA1 ( if enable) for long Price should be above EMA1 i.e.10
4. EMA2 if enable for long (Price should be above this also EMA2 i.e. 200
5. TDI YELLOW LINE ( If enabled than for long Green should already above or crossing red and yellow line on same bar)
TDI (green line) angle (we may put this feature in next version)

Now Higher Time frame (HTF) filters IF enabled
What Time frame (let user select )
if enable EMA of this HTF (price should be higher than this HTF EMA for long
TDI (green) Crossed red of this HTF
Green line Cross, yellow line of this HTF

I have some more filter can me added to select high probability setups... which we can include as we go forward..

There is potential in TDI based system i know one guy here in FF his accuracy was great .. yes he was using TDI cross current TF and its angle and higher TF TDI cross etc but mostly criteria was TDI based.. below his pics

Hi all,

I used to be on FF long time ago, but back again. Been in the game for about 17 yrs.

I had a quick look at the TDi, but couldnt get much out of it....... basically I was looking at the crosses, above/below the yellow line.

I use the RSI on shorter settings of say 5-7, BUT iam wondering if there are other alternatives ?

I have used STochRSi previously which is ok, BUT can get in a bar later , it is ok though

Any other oscillator ?

To have high probability setups

In TDI Trading addition to TDI (green red yellow lines) following elements are also important for current Time frame and higher TF

DOL
EMA's
Support/Resistance

You can use one more indicator (TDI based) which has many great variables for current TF and HTF can be a great tool to incorporate in this TDI Trading ideas

I like the TDI , But I use the Slots Macd, instead( with 5,35,5 settings) , combine it with cci's 14 and 49 ..

Have you ever thought much about your settings? First of all, any setting provided in a standard indicator from meta trader is wrong. If it was correct, everyone would make money.

I never use MACD because it has a tendency to diverge, or in other words, head fake you. The market has enough chaos without creating my own. You are using 5/35/5, which in essence means you are trading when the 5 EMA crosses over the 35 EMA. Was that your plan? Your 0 line cross is therefore (more or less) when price crosses the 35 EMA. The 5 SMA is just showing you how much distance is between the 5 EMA and the 35 EMA. Is that something you need to know?

I don't know what time frame you are on, but you are also using CCI 14 and 49. First, 14 means nothing, and since 49 is not a multiple of 14, I have no idea why you are using it either. If you want to use a higher CCI, then it should reflect the next TF, or the one after that. It should align to whatever TF you rely on for end-of-trend signals and for avoiding head fakes in consolidation.

Of course, you should keep trading whatever it is you are trading if it is making profit. Check for improvements on the weekend by trying to manage your math.

Since you like the CCI, you might consider using this one since your MACD uses a similar histogram pic. Hopefully you know how to adjust the settings and colors to your liking. Good Luck.

I had been testing this trade direction index indicator and notice that the graphics seems lagging.
Graphics update every 5 or 15 minutes according to the time frame, 5M and 15M.
Is it possibe to change the graphics to respond to real time.
Some of the small values on the top of the indicator running in realtime.
