Yes. FF seem to be having problems. OK here's the alternative fix for NewsBrk.

Here's what seems to be going on:
FF have changed the URLs for their XML feeds to these new FF.net addresses, but they are not working properly. The old FF.com URLs may still work, but they have blocked certain user-agents (A user-agent identifies the client program accessing a web server).

NewsCal-v1.07c and NewsBrk-v0.06 use the new URLs.
NewsCal-v1.07d and NewsBrk-v0.07 use the old URLs, but I've changed the user-agent to get round the block.

Hi Euclid

thanks for all your work, this NewsbBrk-v0.07 seems to working was showing canadian housing and has just changed as more news arrives.

Hmmm, interesting the updated NewsCal-v107d works for FF data on my laptop running MT4 but not on my Beeks VPS running the same version of MT4.
could it be user agent blocking?

Great indicators! I want to know if it's possible (what kind of work that demand) to have the Forecast and actual columns in the "NewsCal" indicator.

the info supplied is all of the info supplied by the data source. people usually make you pay for a machine readable source for actual data, because otherwise people build news trading bots that hit the server really hard and create traffic problems

I don't think that's a user-agent problem. MT4 version doesn't matter either. Operating System might make a difference. If you can grab the file in IE/Edge then it should also work with v107d.

There are other news indicators that show 'previous' and 'forecast', but 'actual' is a problem. It's possible to add 'actual' numbers maybe a few minutes after the event, but even that is a huge amount of work because it's not information that's available in the data source we are using.

Very strange:

Both seem to work perfectly but unexpectedly return to the fxstreet China news...
And a few minutes later, back to the recent news.
Then back to the old ones and so on...

There's a problem with FF sometimes serving up cached pages. I think I can do a workaround for this, if FF don't fix it, but it won't be today.

on a side note, is there a forex calendar anywhere that is displayed like a regular calendar ie with a 7x5 boxed grid smtwtfs style?

i always wanted to be able to see economic news in a traditional calendar format, then the relevant news events i could visualize more clearly and quickly learn which ones happen at what times of the month/what days of the week etc

curiously, it has just started working for FF data on the VPS without me actually changing anything, which makes me think that maybe they changed something their end

Thanks. I tried your NewsCal-v1.07d and NewsBrk-v0.07(fixed), but still it showed "download failed".

How can I put both on the screen in different locations on the chart screen? I don't any where in the menu to allow us to set it in different x y coordinates.

I liked them before, but then not having them, I realised I loved the convenience of them!
