Hi fxd, asking a few questions in a thread is the only way you can learn ,,,, think for the most part the traders who have been around for a while will try and help you the best they can ,,, in a thread tho you will get bombarded with all kinds of strategys and ideas tho , lol. You mentioned your cup and handle formation along with your averages on your charts ....... You mention patterns in a thread and it usually leads to some very heated debates lol,,,,,,,,,with that being said I use them every day ,,,,,, they still work and my opinion some of them work better with the automated trading being very prevalent in the trading world now . My scalping chart I use a similar average as your 5 min chart,,,,, I can give you a couple examples of Fridays trading on the GBP a blow by blow commentary lol, if you allow , its your journal , trade safe man ,,,, cheers
