Hi guys,

The MAs crossover on HTF is very lagging.


Let compare the MAs crossover and FS30_5.

That's why I change 5/10 EMAS crossover to FS30_5 to determine the current direction .

With the MAs crossover we might miss the start of the new run.

Hi, Sriloba, what do you think about our exits from the trades with FS30_1 - is it reliable or is it better to put TP to the nearest pivot level for example? I mean FS30_1 is following the price. Thanks!

I can't speak for Moonie and why he only goes for 10 pips TP. I am a fan of trying to get the best R:R ratio on every trade. But i noticed this is a good example for taking smaller pips. Even on a ranging day, positive pips can be had easily. Just one example of course, we can never know how far a swing will go. I imagine this is Sriloba's thinking with his 20 pips TP.

Hi,

Exit trade when candle is closed on the same direction of the FS30_1.

Look to chart attached below.

sell the currencies and exit trade when candle closed on bullish at the same direction of FS30_1

You can enter a trade on lower TFs like M30/M15/M5 and exit trade on HTF like H1 or H4

Thank you very much, Sriloba for your response! After apearing the yellow arrow of FS30_1 on the higher timeframe we are waiting for a candle in the direction of the arrow to close and then EXIT?! I understand it so. You are helping to all of us so much with your wise advices! Thanks a lot!!!

Hi Natasha, I haven't been looking at the higher time frames, just relying on the H4 indicator to be the same colour. The buttons indicator just allows you to switch to different pairs/time frames. I am trying to win 10 pips consistently and then up the lot size rather than go for more pips. We can always take two lots, take profit at 10 pips and then move the other lot to break even and see if it goes on a run. Each pair has around four trading opportunities every day, so plenty of pips for the taking.

Hi guys,

I want to share with you the way I monitor my trade from H4 to M5

1) Align H4 and H1

2) Monitor price action from M30 to M5

3) Decide which time frame the signals are clear no doubt at all ( where price is trading. band of the channel, CPP, round numbers, etc.)

4) Then shoot hard

FS30_5 is very important. Because it gives us a turning point or a signal of the start of the new move very timing


Enter a trade on M5 by 123 price pattern or divergence are high probability.

Thank you very much, Moonie for your complete and quick response! You are right - may be it's better not to take a risk waiting for more pips in one diriction instead increasing the lots. It is a good idea to take 2 lots - TP at 10 pips /for example/, but the next - to break even. There are many traders using this tactic.

The Problem with this tactic of scalling in is that you will every tim loose the full stop of 10 Pips and Not often make more than breakeven. That means you need a scalling out tactic aswell.

I have seen some loss recovery EA's that use trading zones and multiple lots to recover losses. I have my own ideas I would like to try out so I have decided to build my own EA. This in itself will be quite a task!
I was hoping someone would be kind enough to explain to me, or better yet, point to a snippet of code that will enable me to calculate the breakeven point of multiple buys and sells on a single currency pair.  
If I'm short 1 lot and price goes against me x amount of pips, I hedge my trade with a buy order at 2 lots. These two trades combined will have a breakeven point. How can I calculate that?
I would be most grateful for any help!
