Seasonal history (17 years) has a rise starting mid february.
Recent history a bit mixed.
Everyone knows it's warming so not too easy to trade the "obvious" direction.
Futures price in the "obvious" :-)

Yeah, still setting up for shorts probably from 54.30 on a 3rd wave of Ending diagonal (c), SL @ 56.10.

So close to invalidation @ the 2-4 channel line, it's worth buying on an impulse wave (5) blue, for good R/R, SL @ 2.8500.

'Invalidation' means readjustment of wave count*, while the revised wave count is still poised for an advance.

I am thinking with the contract rollover/small price gap this morning , we reached 54.22 ( might have been your entry ) as I write a we just had heavy rejection on that number , but then again USA mainly holiday today so low volume later.

I would not short now. Saudi Arabia wants oil prices to go up prior to Aramco's IPO. Close your eyes and buy oil now until price hits $60

The path to 60 is not a straight line. There should be tradable shorts along the way. I do agree market is very manipulated in favor of the IPO but supply and demand is still your obstacle. Long till 60 might have some surprising set backs with the market heavy net long. I suspect plenty of weak hands in these latest swings up.

Watch and see as this is one rigged market. They will announce that inventories fell to justify price increases and Saudi Arabia will cutback to get this achieved.

Anyone else seeing a wolfe wave setup? if this plays out as per wolfe wave rules, I think we could see a serious drop here, perhaps a new low or at least test of lows come October? Not going to trust that until I see a break of at least the daily trend line, but divergence seems to be indicating a drop to, and if the lower trend line on that wolfe wave setup breaks (45ish), I think I'll go balls to the wall on the sell side.
