To minimize BB band runs is to get a proper read off of the Daily chart and with this system to use only the less volatile currencies based on the volatility chart. If and when I do get a BB run it is much less and less damaging with the lower volatile pairs. 10.0 recovery uses the Daily so there are fewer reentries and is based on each currencies movements

As you probably already know the BOJ bank intervened in the markets and it surged. That was too bad because I had closed my usd/jpy buy with a minimum profit and missed adding almost 150 to the trade. Happens. The CTR however, entered sells but with the CAD/JPY it was 60 pips higher than the BB so the delayed entrance allows me to catch a retrace later and hopefully get out later after the news dies down. Either way I am sitting in good shape to get out during quiet time between sessions or setting up a counter trade later. See pic below

Hi Bob. So just to confirm, are you
1. Using mptm 20+10 on all your trades?
2. Watching the daily charts as much as possible, looking for breakouts, or are you just checking at the start of each day?
3. Trading all the pairs that are ranging whatever that number is?

With range trading I am just letting them run on the less volatile currencies 24/7 and counter trading my losers. If I was using the more volatile pairs. I would need to watch the Daily. I use the Daily when I want to enter 2nd or 3rd levels.

20 days in the NZD/USD trade but so far closed out all my losing trades as winners or BE, except for the original 2 left from the 50x150 system. CTR trading off of its highs worked very well the last 6 days. So CTR trading my losers off of the cross back over the 2MA has proved to be quite profitable.

I am using MPTM to set profit at +60 on 1st level only but will over-rule it ever so often. I ended up not liking 20+10 too many trades stopped. The two I like best and seem to work best are 25+10 (for some reason it doesnt get the +10 hit as often) and the 40 +30. But like I said +60 TP is working out nicely. My DD is fluctuating between 3-9% which is very acceptable to me. Most of the time it is between 4-6% and it spikes up occasionally.

When I set up the two 10.0 threads, one will be for range trading and the other for trend trading. As a reminder my 13 pairs I am constantly range trading are:
aud/jpy, aud/nzd, aud/usd, cad/jpy, chf/jpy, eur/gbp, gbp/cad, gbp/usd, nzd,chf, nzd/jpy, nzd/usd, usd/cad, usd/jpy

That gives me a mix of aud-3 cad-3 chf-2 jpy-5 eur-1 gbp-3 nzd-4 usd-5

This fits my philosophy right now that the EUR is very dangerous to trade and chf to a lesser extent. Euro because it is all over the place and CHF is terrible at retracing. JPY with 5 is OK because the BOJ will interfere often to keep it stable. It always seems to retrace very nicely. I dont like having 4 NZD and I am seriously thinking of dropping the NZD/USD because it trends very long and slowly. I also dont like being 5 with USD. So I probably will drop NZD/USD to give me better balance. That will give me 12 solid pairs, good diversity, and with my ability to counter trade I think I can just run CTR all the time and just range trade. With the 10.0 trend page of course that will be different.

Dang CHF #^!*%%!*(&)*^*!) If there is one currency that gives me trouble range trading it is that one. The only reason I stayed in was I read the news of how they were going to try to depreciate the currency so what happens more people bought it. So much for FF news stories. Sometimes I think those stories are plants from the BIG BOYS.

It is frustrating, the CHF seems to make a large move, then sideways, then another move and so on. Retracements are tough. On Friday with the rally in the early afternoon of the NY session, I thought about getting out, but thought risk might be heading back in with NFP and stocks recovering. Now with the US downgrade, probably folks are going to be flocking to the CHF, even with the CB actively trying to weaken it. It seems trend trading the CHF is the way to go for now....

Unless you are Buying (that is a sell for usd/chf) dont bother with most CHF currencies. Everyone in Europe is using it to protect themselves from the EURO and USD. Look at the weekly chart and it has been drifting down for over a year now.

It probably is the broker, I dont know if these EAs are compatible with certain brokers anymore. We are using the 10.0 system now which is a variation of the 60x90 but seems get better entrances and adjusts itself better to sudden price movements.

I was using this system for a while trading GBP/NZD 5 minute chart. It worked well making about 25% for the year. I cashed out and am now ready to trade the system again but the EA doesn't seem to work any longer. Is there someone who can help me getting to work again?

Many dealers dont allow EAs that set TP and SL at the same time as the trade anymore. Set the TP and SL to 0 and see if that solves the problem.

I have read through your 10 system and your 10.2 system. I do like them, but I really like what I read on page 231 in this thread. Am I right in saying, that you personally would suggest to stop using the system here and move on to 10.2 or 10.2a?

10.2a has confused me a little at the moment, but I am sure I can get used to it. I just really like the simplicity of the system we have here.

Anyway, i have been trying this using the A (conservative) lines and like what i see. I can't get the EA to work, so I am just using pending orders at the moment.

10.2a follows a trend and 60x90 works great in ranging markets. Being able to switch back and forth in trading styles allows you to be a very good trader. 60x90 works well except there are several fears out there that can push prices beyond its range. The Euro crisis, they still have not solved any problem. Greece is still racking up debt it cannot pay and some other countries are in the same boat. At anytime this can explode. Same thing with tensions between certain countries. These events can happen and explode price movements beyond the 60x90 range. So for those reasons I have stopped trying to range trade except on individual basis when I see opportunity. In other words fundamentals can change drastically and quickly.

can this ea close all open position when hit TP?.

e.g:

if got 5 open position, then TP the 5th open position then all rest 1st,2nd,3rd,4th close automatic or TP at 5th TP.

Bro ! You Need some more Information .... I think ! Nanningbob is now in another Forum and he developed a hugh number of other strategies - so, dont bother about this 60X90 EA - it is only one of his very first developments ! And looking at this EA today: it's simply to old !

Look the Dates of the last postings ... noone is active here, you are wasting your time (like me, answering here). Btw: it's easy to look NB's last post here in this thread - 6 years ago !
