it scalping... so my R:R 1:1 and it is high frequency trading.

Hi Pips29,

I was just experimenting with the two EMA's for binary trading and have so far yielded great results with MA 2 and 10 for the AUDUSD and MA 3 and 18 for the EURUSD. Buy or short when they cross and use 30min or 1hour bar close and see the results for yourself.

Let me know your thoughts.

Roni, good to hear it's working for you. just carry on doing the same thing for the next 2 weeks and see whether it still works..I do not have a binary account and so the R&D will have to come from your side..I might be able to help to tweak but you are better equipped than me with your experience...I read price action and what not but trading the next candle for profit is something very unique to me..I am sticking with forex which is what I know best..buy me lunch one of these days Roni

Do we look for support and resistance areas on 15m chart only? or higher timeframes too?

Are the round numbers the S/R areas or not?

Hi Roni,
the price most of the time respect the round numbers and LE1 use it among others. The 200 and 800ema also is used as SR. But i will advice you study how time reacts when it approach the round number, 200ema and also the 800ema.

Big round numbers ('00, '50) act as psychologyical targets as well as fundamental areas, thus orders are often grouped near / at these making S/R regardless of timescale.

The impact of the S/R depends on your position size really, if you are 15M trader then your position could be heavily affected (given you are using money managent sizing as each pip is worth more), if you are an H4 trader then the S/R at '00 often just act as bumps in the road as you are looking at a bigger picture with longer targets and stops (and a lower risk per pip given you are using money management sizing.)

Have a look back through the charts on this thread and catch up on the posts from LE1 about how '00's influence activity, you'll find he talks about this a lot and references it as something important to include in your pre-trade analysis.

Thanks to both of you guys- What I wanted to know was that do we solely use the round numbers as S/R lines on the 15m chart?

Or do we draw our own zones?

Round numbers are just part of it. as are the 200 & 800, 10 is the major dynamic SR used (and 50 to a lesser extent).

You've got to use your own interpretation, so if you see SR when you look to the left as part of your trade prep you've got to consider what you see. Have a look at PA, PPA at those points and if a zone sticks out then you need to decide what you'll do because it.

No one size fits all I'm afraid - I'd suggest a bit more time reading from the start again. Experience has taught me that a re read gives you so much new information every time mainly as each read gives a new layer of understanding that you embed and thus you see the same charts in a different and more informative way.

Just an observation I made.

In this post loveevery1 takes a LONG trade that is directly under a Round Number.
I thought RN's were supposed to be S/R zones.. Or am I mistaken?

What are your thoughts?

Round numbers are just part of it mate and you will always find exceptions. You'll need to be in his head with his experience to get the full understanding of that entry, especially if he is referring to his 7th sense . Look for what he usually did rather than the exceptions.

He took it just above the rn. In any case rn are not walls

Quick chart review -
HA closed with bar blue (2nd bar) = valid trigger bar
PA bounced off of low 3 bar low support 3-5 bars before entry at approx 1.3328
PA could not break support at 1.3333 6-8 bars before entry - look at PPA resistance
LE1 would often be thinking 'no sellers, look for buying opportunity' given above PA
TDI green crosses yellow and 50 on trigger bar
TDI green and red both good positive slope on trigger bar
Not a blind entry at the open of bar 3 but a structured entry above the '00

As i say, RNs are just part of it my friend.
