Needed just ONE more tick down to fill (ie. price hit the Bid, but not the Ask).

Chart time, as always for me, is CET :

For all of you that are using Sierra Charts...If you pull down the little trade window you can set targets, stops in stages, and trailing stops to make every thing totally hands off unless you want to change the plan...

Window---- simple bracket: Target = 30

Window-----Triggered trailing stop: stop 15 trigger 15 trail 5

Window------Move to breakeven for stop: Select - offset in ticks triggered
Step 1:Trigger =6 offset=1
Step 2: Trigger =13 offset =7

That will give target 30, stop -15, auto+1 at+ 6, auto +7 at +13.auto begin at +15 to trail your stop by 5 less than price...

All hands off unless you want to move your target or stop manually after the trade is in progress...............

Just change the numbers to suit your plan

Hope that helps someone

Hi JT - another Ninja user. My chart ( exactly 12hrs ahead NZ ) but showing price touching your order. Did you leave the order on and get filled a couple of candles later ?
Also can you let me know your reason to go long at that point. ( I'm still trying to get to grips with H's market structure ). Cheers mate.

Good Evening H,
You are now a master at recording. Awesome stuff. You are still making it look so easy and I am beginning to understand your entries using the market structure. I also think that the US Open provides liquidity that my time period does not. Sticking at it though cos I can see this being a winner for my style of trading.
Thanks for sharing.
Binnie

The ny open is where volume and liquidity comes into the market it is explosive remaining calm and relaxed is vital hence the vaping sound in background lol

1 thing I learned BB is you should never think it's bad to take profit even if you could have made more. Most of 98% of my trades are free trades and since I don't know how far they will go if I don't see momentum happening I will grab

Great reaction, when trade jumped your way after few seconds of flattening ie. pretty much no reaction and setup please.

I think that is one key to your success. You just take those so called free trades and grab what is possible. There is no place for second guessing or bashing oneself

JT: Do you have same impression than me? Sierra Chart seems to have more relaxed bar formation than NinjaTrade? Ninja seems to kind of burst the bars when market is active, but in D's videos the bars form in much more orderly way. I will demo Sierra Charts and compare.

I thought that was because of the oil report (which this week is tomorrow because of Monday's holiday, in case anyone else trades CL) ?

Looking at my NQ 233 vol chart, it was a tough US morning session.

I traded both EU and US morning sessions today - 7 trades, which is a lot for me. Four of the first 5 were losers - the horror, the horror* - although correctly executed, then CL finally brought me back to +24 on the day.

* Here's a clip of Marlon Brando having a lie-down in a darkened room after a losing day trading session (I know how he feels) :
