The build-up to the March 15th Dutch elections will be watched by the market very closely. Current polling indicates that Geert Wilders’ anti-EU Freedom is ahead and likely to win over 30 of the 150 parliamentary seats. The party has called for “de-Islamification” of the Netherlands and pledged to withdraw the country from the EU. If the polls are correct in predicting strong support for populism by the Dutch, it could fuel fears of a similar showing in the upcoming French elections. I have looked for a different definition but can not find one. and it appears to have become a dirty word since the mainstream political parties are losing ground to more
the point I was trying to make was this is populism to me

populism-support for the concerns of ordinary people.
ordinary-with no special or distinctive features; normal
concern-make (someone) anxious or worried
popular party/individuals and are now trying to shut people up with POPULISM and before this it was calling people racist or islamophobic to shut them up I can see a pattern forming just call the ordinary people names to shame them into silence. if this pattern continuous we may as well be in north Korea as they have no POPULIST

POPULISM is just the most political parties/individuals getting the most votes it's not a bad thing and should not be used as a dirty word Obama was/is a POPULIST it's not a bad thing if I was eligible to vote in the USA I may/may not have voted for him but you have to respect the will of the people or you are going to have trouble

Most EU countries do not have a say on important matters within the rules of the game. The Dutch elections aren't very relevant (other than serving as an indicator for the German elections in September). All major decisions on global politics are made in Washington, London, Berlin, and Brussels - in that order. The other talking heads provide support to market those decisions to the respective electorate. They do matter in terms of specifics of domestic policy, but even there they have a very limited sway.

Just to give some context, in 2012 only two parties achieved more than 30 seats, the rest all achieved 15 and under. So, grabbing 30 seats would prove significant even though it's only 20% as you rightly say

Assuming that 20% of parliamentary seats represents 20% of the Dutch electorate, I would say that it is very worrying for the Netherlands, especially given that the Dutch are renowned for their tolerance. This means that 20% of the electorate are so frustrated with the EU that they are willing to align themselves with a party which is so anti EU, anti Islam and anti immigrant. If I were the EU, I would be very worried indeed.

Le Pens exposed Russian connections are already in the public domain.
Others, where they exist, must likewise be exposed and outed.
Europe and the UK, must learn from whats happening in the US, and prevent a replay.

However IMHO The success of Democracy depends on an electorate using exercising their franchise with reason and responsibility whereas Populism encourages emotional and prejudiced exercise, and to that extent it exposes itself to abuse and manipulation. In my view it becomes dangerous to society, and destabilizing, when it exploits emotional, xenophobic nationalistic and racist themes, encouraged and manipulated by political extremists, who amplify and exploit genuine fears and concerns with simplistic answers to what are often very complex problems.
Typically Populist lobbyists and leaders, manipulate the most disaffected and vulnerable, the least educated, the conspiracy theorists and general outsiders. Though it may also attract selfproclaimed anarchists from the mainstream They exploit their audiences lack of understanding of the system, and build celebrity status to present themslves as champions of often very legitimate causes... for acquisition and retention of personal power.

I think of it bit like the stereotyped used car or double glazing salesman, who ply vulnerable customers with irresponsible ego-appealing claims, eschew accountability and peddle highly unethical, distorted and simplistic presentations of what they are trying to sell.
Nothing wrong with used car salesmen. or double glazing salesmen.. some very ethical, but but many of their sales techniques are highly questionable and unaccountable..
Which is why weve got the sale of goods and consumer protection acts.

I was stating facts that the majority of people who are astute observers of history and the terms that are and have been defined, and is widely accepted as facts is something you incorrectly characterized and the examples you had used is misstating facts altogether. There are ones with civil decorum and then there are ones who are agitators for what ever reasons their motives are, and I believe is to satisfy their own urges, nevertheless they get off on being the antagonist. At least that is the impression I am getting in these parts. I am questioning my own use of time and whether or not I am wasting it on such futile efforts. A sense of guilt starts to over come me as I contemplate that question.

I can understand how you see the last part, and without knowing the history, that would fair comment. It all stemmed from EU discussions, which as you may well have gathered, is an entity I utterly detest. So for me it is not a waste of time and I managed to both feed my interest and garner entertainment in between trades

Hier in Deutschland gibt es so viele Ausländer, angefangen von Iren, Engländern und Amerikanern - neben vielen anderen - und wenn man nun bei all diesen Zugezogenen auf perfektes Deutsch achten würden, würde man von denen die das erwarten denken, dass sie primitiv und hinterwäldlerisch sind - welch Primitivlinge!
Sogar mit denen die bereits seit vielen Jahren hier leben, spricht man zum Teil in ihrer Sprache - einfach auf Grund von Respekt.

Euch Brexitliningen verdankend, wird sich unser Englisch noch weiter verschlechtern, da es in Europa an Bedeutung verlieren wird.

Hier in Deutschland gibt es so viele Ausländer, angefangen von Iren, Engländern und Amerikanern - neben vielen anderen - und wenn man nun bei all diesen Zugezogenen auf perfektes Deutsch achten würden, würde man von denen die das erwarten denken, dass sie primitiv und hinterwäldlerisch sind - welch Primitivlinge!
Sogar mit denen die bereits seit vielen Jahren hier leben, spricht man zum Teil in ihrer Sprache - einfach auf Grund von Respekt.
